Yes! Go here! - Edit
I had several people, who didn’t know I was vegan, recommend this spot to me and I kind of filed it away as probably not very vegan friendly. Recently I had noticed it on happy cow so gave it and shot and yes! So good!!
Read moreThey have a clear and labeled vegetarian/vegan menu with great options.
Obsessed with the peanut dumplings! Also got the fried rice, cauliflower dish and green beans and loved everything. They finish the night with tropical sorbet that was refreshing and delicious.

5 star if they’d allow it. - Edit
Designated vegan menu. Probably the best vegan meal I’ve had in the city. Unfortunately happy cow does not allow 5 stars unless it’s purely vegan Restarant. I think duck duck goat deserves 5 stars!

Delicious - Edit
When we went March 2022, there was no separate vegan - our waiter told us what could be made vegan. The food was excellent - especially the cauliflower and green beans. We also had the mu shoo, which was very tasty.
Read moreThe waiter treated us to mango sorbet which was bursting with flavor. So good. He said it was their only vegan dessert, asked if we wanted it, then asked if we'd eat it if he brought and then said, "I'm bringing it!"
We had a great experience overall. Great service, great food, cute decor.
Pros: Crispy tasty yummy
Cons: No separate vegan menu

Greasy AF - Edit
Is it too much to expect from an “upscale” restaurant to serve decent food? The greasiness of the food was off the charts. We ordered glass noodles, Mapo doufu, green beans in black bean sauce, pickles veggies and dumplings. The only thing that was good were the veggie and peanut crystal skin dim sum. Pickled veggies were ok, nothing extraordinary. Mapo doufu was extremely greasy and salty, so was the glass noodles.

Cons: Grease and salt overload , Expensive

👍🏻 - Edit
Separate veg menu. Food seems to be meant for sharing with the table. Had multiple dishes and they were all good. On the expensive side but to be expected in the west loop. Make reservations or be prepared to wait.

Ask for the Vegetarian Menu - Edit
I understand that any Stephanie Izard restaurant is going to be a bit controversial. That being said, she creates some of the best vegan dishes out there. When you arrive, ask for the vegetarian menu. The server will generally ask if you have any dietary restrictions - this is when you let them know you're vegan. The vegetarian menu can make every option on it vegan with the exception of the scallion pancakes (which I find a little odd, because you can get vegan scallion pancakes at the Little Goat).
Read moreEverything I have tried has been amazing! So far I've had: the mushroom potstickers, hot & sour soup, house-fermented veggies, moo shu vegetables, and the mapo doufu. Keep in mind that these dishes are meant to be shared family-style so you can rack up a bill pretty quickly. The things I tried were enough to fill up two people - about $30 each. Because of the quality and flavor of these dishes, I personally believe it's worth it.
The place is extravagantly decorated - each section with it's own mini-theme. Great for special occasions or for when you're really craving delicious Chinese food.
I have yet to visit during their Dim Sum hours and haven't ordered carry-out so I can't speak for either of those experiences.
This is definitely a place where you have to make reservations in advance or show up the second they open their doors and hope for the best.
Pros: vegan menu, great ambience, nice staff

Don't Tell the Vegan Police, It's My Fave - Edit
Despite not being a vegetarian, much less vegan restaurant, Duck Duck Goat is my favorite place to eat in the city. Ask for the vegetarian menu, and your server will let you know which items are vegan (most of the time all but 1-2 items of the very large menu can be made vegan). The food is delicious, and great when you want something totally different from all the other veg options.

upscale vegan - Edit
Separate vegetarian menu with vegan options. Waitstaff was very well aware of any dietary restrictions. They had the most flavorful Asian food I have ever had. This is great for a date night, if you can make reservations ahead of time or you’ll be in for ain’t wait. If you put your name in for a table there is a beercade a few doors down.

Great Date Night/Upscale dining for Veg and Vegetarian - Edit
Ask for the vegetarian menu. It’s labeled with vegan options. The Pekan cauliflower and vegan fried rice has me coming back often.
