Raw vegan restaurant and bistro with an open kitchen, preparing everything in-house from raw seasonal ingredients. Savory offerings include raw noodles, veggie sushi, proteic sandwiches, avocado tartare, crepes, tacos and vegan cheese. Desserts range from almond and cashew tiramisù, seasonal fruit cheesecakes, and more. Drink choices consist of kefir, kombucha, fresh seasonal juices, milk shakes with cold-pressed almond milk, natural wines, cocktails and specialty coffee. Breakfast dishes consist of chia puddings with cashew yogurt and buckwheat granola, and banana and brasil nuts crepes filled with hazelnut, coconut sugar and cocoa cream, or sugar-free fruit yogurt. Full menu available all day. Open Mon 12:00-21:00, Thu-Fri 12:00-21:00, Sat 12:00-23:00, Sun 12:00-21:00. Closed Tue & Wed. Hours are subject to change - check ahead.

Raw vegan restaurant in the City center, food is prepared in front of the customers which is generally a good sign. Nothing original or impressive in the dishes we had, they were just good, yet expensive for what you get. Would have rated 3,5 if it had been possible.

Ordered the “Taco special”. €10...One taco. Consisted of a (very nice) whole grain tortilla...and what was basically a very small lettuce / arugula salad with a very savory vegan mayo (listed as “tzatziki”) with perhaps 1/8 th of a small avocado. Sushi was bland: shredded carrots, etc. Total bill for 3 tacos, one order of vegetable sushi and three vegan milkshake-like drinks: €64.

After an unhappy experience with friends, at a restaurant that offered not a single vegan option, we were looking forward to eating at Ecru. Alas, it did not do much to lift our spirits. The servide was friendly but slow, since the waiters also appeared to be the cooks, and the restaurant lacked ambience. Our starter salad was good - a combination of papaya, avocado and greens dressed with balsamic - but the greens drowned out the rest. My sushi main was good, but the seaweed served on the side (or was it sea vegetable?) did not work. My felafel connoisseur partner’s raw felafel dish was disappointing. Everything was beautifully presented, but I’m afraid it was, to some extent, a case of form over function. Still hungry after our meals, for dessert we bought a couple of chocolate-looking biscuits on the way out, but they were dry and tasteless and we tossed them in a streetside bin after a few bites. The meal and experience left us feeling unsatisfied.

Very Tasty Luxuriant Food - Edit
Very nice food with a huge selection and very big selection of smoothies and various juice mixes. However, the owners loitering in the cafe and having long conversations with locals gave the place an uneasy atmosphere. Very intimate pretty little place, but best visited at a quiet time.

The menu is huge! Such a large variety of different raw dishes to choose from. I got home made kombucha, a raw sandwich, sushi and some treats which were all 10/10. It was all really refreshing in the heat.

We had lunch at Ecru and it was so amazing and delicious! The restaurant decor is beautiful. The location was so convenient. The staff was lovely. The komucha, milkshakes and sushi were so delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Raw vegan delight!

Located near to the Vatican, this raw food restaurant shouldn't be missed. We ordered the Miso soup for starters followed by Vegan sushi and a burger/sandwich. All of the food was fresh and bursting with flavour. There are a variety of desserts on offer both on the fixed menu and some which vary from day to day. The Almond Granita shouldn't be missed. The staff are very friendly and the prices are reasonable.
