Good food, so-so service - Edit
When you arrive here, you have to immediately go to the cash register and pay for your meal before you sit down. They will give you a receipt and you show it to the waitress who will come by your table.
Read moreThe food was very good but the service was frazzled. It's best to get there right at 1: 00pm once the lunch rush has kind of subsided a bit. The meal of the day was 15,800 pesos (Oct 2024) and it included a bowl of soup, a glass of juice, a tiny fruit based dessert and the main plate that had a rice and vegetable mix a salad of peas and I think it was a potato something I'm not really sure. Also... they have a small salad bar next to the stairway and your meal comes with one of the tiny salads that you make yourself. At any rate, I really like the food here so I recommend it if you are in the area. Considering the price and the quality of the food I would give them five cows.

Fast service, but they need to make things clear on the menu because I was offered a replacement for another cake which didn’t hit the spot eventually, it was very dry on the bottom and I wanted a tiramisu lol. The empanada was good and the soup was amazing honestly.

I went in for lunch. Nice little cafeteria, all dishes come with soup, juice and a little postre (fruit sauce). I had a tamale that was so big I couldn’t finish it. It had tofu and fake meats in it.

Taste-wise, I have a feeling that it's always a bit of a hit and miss with hippie-style restaurants. Sometimes it's outstanding but sometimes, not so great.
The seitan fillet had almost no flavor and the fries lacked salt. The burger was a little better, but it wasn't overwhelmingly good. The juice was very good though. Not too expensive though. About nine euros for two main dishes, with dessert, soup and juice. Quite alright for a lunch.
Lots of products to buy and bring with you such as Tofu, which is hard to find in normal shops. #Veganuary

My partner ordered the Patacon - I tried a bit and it was amazing - the sauce especially.
Big portion sizes and great value - 18000 pesos per dish, coming with a drink and small dessert (and the Patacon came with a soup starter).

We got lunch here and were famished after hiking Monserrat, so it was awesome that Loto Azul made ordering easy with 4 daily lunch dishes. They came out quickly and were extremely filling. None of it was particularly tasty, I wouldnt order any of it again. But the service was swift and friendly. The ambiance was greatly lacking, like being in a school cafeteria. But I appreciated the efficiency of the operation.

Probably the most wholesome, cheap vegan lunch you can find in Bogotá. I know, the pictures don’t look too appealing. But the taste is good and you really can’t beat this prices. Sometimes you crave for an amazing vegan burger (they offer one but it looked real bad) and sometimes it’s good to have a healthy meal with lots of veggies. For the last thing you’re on the perfect spot right here! Also we bought some soy milk powder and super tasty vegan cheese based on nuts.

Very cheap option in the historic central area. The place is huge and although it says they open in the morning, it seems like they only fully open to cater for people around lunch time. Their menu is pretty much heavy on lunch options and not very breakfast suited. We got in around 9am and they were not fully open as a restraint from my understanding. They were able to offer us/make us tamales, we were happy enough since we were doing a tour at 10am and the tamales kept us full for the tour. Very heavy “breakfast” ngl, but we were happy with it😄Great option!

They serve a menú del día (soup, main, dessert, drink) for 16.000 pesos and you choose your main from 5 or so options. You also get the choice of juice or tea for drink. Food was out quick and tasty, service was efficient and friendly. We both left feeling very full!

Went on to Happy Cow and this was the closest place to where we were sightseeing. Walked in and asked for the menu and they pointed to 4 items which were the "meals of the day". We got a soup, meal, and drink for about $3.50USD per person. Everything was tasty, and the Patacon was really good. This place has a Southeast asian vibe and also offers yoga classes and has a small vegan food booth in the front.
