Die waren lekker, maar niets speciaal. Voor het hoofd gerecht zou ik maar een 3 geven, of 2,5 want die prijzen zijn echt wel aan de hogere kant.

Great tasting menu - Edit
We had the tasting menu which included a variety of smaller dishes to share followed by a main dish (pizza or pasta) The shared dishes were lovely with amazing flavors. Notably the artichoke with dip and the watermelon/feta salad. Unfortunately the pasta (la Vita e Bella) was underwhelming and quite basic. I understand if you came just for that it would be a disappointment. The setting is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. The portions are big enough and I have no complaints about the wait time. I'd give 3.5 stars if happycow allowed it.

We went for the degustatiemenu, which consists of 5 shared dishes and one pizza or pasta.
Read moreThe shared dishes were absolutely delicious. Very original, very flavourful and decent portions, together; these are already a meal on their own.
The pasta, however, I found disappointing. I went for the Artémis and the pasta itself was overcooked. Overall I had the feeling that I could easily make this myself.
There is a light degustatiemenu, but unfortunately only for lunch. I feel like this would have been a better choice.
Considering what each dish costs separately and the amount of food you get, the Degustatiemenu is reasonably priced. The drinks though are very expensive in my opinion.
Also worth noting that the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful

Everything on the menu is vegan and glutenfree. Great! It is however not a vegan restaurant as the dishes can be pimped with non-vegan extras: salmon, chicken, cheese, ...
I asked whether there are also vegan extras to put on the dishes but the waitress seemd to be taken by surprise by my question. (well, if you can have extras, why no vegan extras? like soy pieces, or seitan, or tempeh, ...?).
We had the shared starters from the menu: vegetable fries wit tartar sauce, vegetables for cheese fondu and edamame beans.
These were very nice. The cheese sauce (fondu) was only lukewarm.
As main dishes we had a butternut pizza and the sweet potato 'pasta' with vegs and peanut sauce. (the sweet potato is the pasta).
Not really convinced by these dishes. Very original and nice presentation, but all in all quite monotone tasting. The pizza was like eating a plate of heavy butternut soup. And the 'pasta' - given that it ws all vegetables, was quite heavy.
All in all: a very long wait. We were intrigued by the vegan cheese dessert platter, but were already stuffed and by that time (nearly 2 hours) also wanted to leave.
Entrance is accessible (just) and first half of restaurant room is on ground floor. Then one large step to go further back. No accessible toilet.

Wauw, we enjoyed it! It is the best dinner I’ve had since a long time. We had the tasting menu, and choose the beetroot spaghetti and green pizza as mains. Also the home Made iced tea is tasty.

Wij gingen op bezoek nadat ze de BE-Veganaward gewonnen hadden en waren een beetje teleurgesteld door het aanbod. Door alle pers waren onze verwachtingen misschien wat te hoog gespannen. We hadden een aantal voorgerechtjes om te delen en twee pasta's als hoofdgerecht. Bij alles misten we wat smaak, het was oké, maar ook niet meer dan dat.

Heel lekker eten! Het onthaal was heel goed. Een heel mooie start. Wel spijtig dat we lang op ons eten moesten wachten. Dat vonden we op zich wel nog ok want we genoten van het decor. Maar toen we ons dessert wouden bestellen, hetgeen we al een hele tijd naar uitkeken, werd ons gezegd dat de keuken dicht was. Op zijn minst konden ze dan wel verwittigen vond ik. Vooral omdat het niet ons schuld was dat we zo lang moesten wachten... Er werd ook gezegd dat de keuken om 15u sloot dus dat dat de reden was dat we geen chocoladepizza meer kregen terwijl het nog maar 14u50 was... Dat was wel een domper...

Favourite place in Ghent - Edit
I have been here a few times now, and it actually became my favourite evening restaurant in Ghent. The concept is simple: vegan pasta & pizza with the option to pay extra for meat or dairy products. As a result, you can order any dish on the menu as a vegan, but you can also easily bring family & friends who are a bit reluctant to eat 100% vegan. And since they always add a very own twist, it never feels like you are eating pasta or pizza. Every single time, it's a new discovery. Even wehn the description of a meal sounds rather basic, you will still be served a surprising meal.

Epiphanys kitchen has a cool concept when you go out with non-vegans as the fish and meat are only available as add-ons. The setting is cool and makes you think you stepped into a different world.

Als je binnenkomt is het super mooi, maar het sprookjesgevoel ebt bord na bord weg. Je betaalt veel te veel voor wat het is, elke smaak valt te onderscheiden van de andere. We zijn allemaal vegetariërs en vegans, en gaan graag lekker gaan eten. Maar €16 euro voor artisjok is exuberant veel, net zoals €6 voor een halve liter water. De porties zijn heel klein, en we zitten nu in de frituur. Eigenlijk is het echt spijtig. Ik zou het niet aanraden...

Fantastic restaurant with surprising flavors - Edit
It's such a nice concept. All food is vegan, but it's optional to add cheese, meat and fish. Also they suggest food sharing, so they give you a plate each and serve the dishes in the middle. All dishes were just excellent. Already looking forward to go back and try other dishes.

Everything on the menu was gluten-free and vegan by default. Food was very well presented and delicious, if slightly too salty for my taste. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The option to add dairy products (such as burrata on pizza) means that I can’t give them five stars on HappyCow. I highly recommend checking this place out if you’re in town: your GF friends will be delighted!
