They have vegan cheese now! - Edit
Looking at prior reviews I was worried about trying this place because I don't like just cheeseless pizza, but they now luckily have vegan cheese and it is amazing! It was so melty that I had to have a friend try it to confirm it was vegan! The garden pizza was very tasty and covered in toppings, and the pizzas are stone fired so have a nice light crispiness and char. The roasted beet salad and avocado bruschetta (both made vegan by asking them to remove the goat cheese) were also super tasty. Not a ton of vegan options, but enough, and they were all high quality. And half off happy hour made it such a great value. Staff was super friendly but it was absolutely crazy busy so they were a bit slow. Though the food, once ordered, was fast

Good enough - Edit
Went with my (non-veg) parents. Arrived at 3 and was told it was an hour wait, we assumed due to staff shortage as there were plenty of open tables. Vegan options were very clearly labeled, but I was a little annoyed that the vegan pizza options were just cheese removed rather than with a cheese alternative. Got the garden pizza and it was pretty good, but probably would have been amazing with cheese. Food came out pretty quickly, despite being busy/understaffed. Lots of good drink options.

Stylish atmosphere & vegan food - Edit
Solid 3.5 stars. Forno in the Short North is a Columbus staple, and I wanted to get this popular happy hour/ brunch spot on Happy Cow because they CAN do vegan food for you! Granted it’s not the most elevated vegan food - but several menu items are clearly marked with Vg , indicating that they can be made vegan on request. Great when you’re dining with large omni/ mixed diet groups.
Read moreWe had a dinner reservation (highly recommended! This place gets PACKED!) for a celebration dinner for a large group and we all enjoyed Forno so much! The garlic fries (minus the parmesan) were addictingly good, and the avocado bruschetta was delicious. I got the wild mushroom stone-fired pizza, which was a VERY pleasant surprise for a cheeseless pie - that San Marzano tomato sauce was so, so good. TIP: Do the gluten-free crust! It’s crispy and DELISH. The atmosphere is trendy and stylish, and the service is friendly and efficient. Delicious cocktails!
Overall, a very pleasant experience. My first time returning to Forno as a vegan, and I’m happy that I could still vibe here.✨
Pros: Vegan options clearly marked on the menu
Cons: No vegan cheese or vegan meat options
