Chill bar with live music and vegan hotdogs - Edit
Chill place to meet for drinks and a quick bite, or catch some live music. The menu is all plant-based hotdogs, all priced reasonably at $7 each. These are creative upgrades on the standard dead animal street food, and definitely worth a try.
Read moreI got the Chicago hotdog and Banh Mi hotdog, both very tasty with the latter really ramping it up in the flavour department. Highly recommend the Banh Mi hotdog! Service was friendly and quick too.
In case you're not yet vegan and wondering why anyone who doesn't want to eat animals would want food made to resemble the animal version, we like the taste but not the violence. Check out the documentary watchdominion.org for more insight into the matter. Then go vegan and be an activist for the animals!

I stopped by on a Saturday around 7:30pm wanting to unwind after a long day. Sadly, it didn’t happen. When I walked in, I made eye contact with the bartender several times, yet nobody told me hello or anything. Was kind of awkward.
Read moreWhen we finally spoke, it turned out that I couldn’t get any food because the cook wasn’t there. The non-alcoholic drinks they mention on their Google maps page are non-existent - I was expecting at least a small menu section that included them, instead I was told they could improvise me “a juice kind of thing”.
Live music didn’t start until 8:30pm that day so I ended up leaving since it would have been a pretty long wait by myself without food and with a crappy drink.
I’ll give this place another try some day. My advice is to go later in the night when hopefully the cook is there and the music is already playing. And maybe call in advance. And bring a friend so you’re not bored in case there are shenanigans like I experienced.

Fully vegan hot dog menu, all pretty reasonable for bar food. I had the island dog and it was great. Very chill live music, good overall vibe!!

After a lot of plans fell through, I decided to check options and was so happily surprised to find this gem!
Read moreAn amazing blues singer/guitarist was playing tunes while I enjoyed my Kraut dog. The hot dogs they use Field Roast dogs, it comes in a toast bread bun.
I had the chance to have a chat with the lovely owner afterwards and learnt that the place was named after their late dog Fred.
