Questionable at best

160 peso lunch buffet
Staff have patchwork (mis)understanding of "vegan" -- be it eggs, dairy, gelatin ingredients. I ate my fill but am completely uncertain as to if my choices were actually vegan (this was an unfortunate slow reveal as I asked and disclosed my vegan status repeatedly along the way). There are eggs, cheese, milk, meat and gelatin mixed into otherwise vegan options. Ask, and then ask again. Recommend only for the brave, Spanish-proficient few who don't mind chancing things. 😔

Veggie food was good…but…

We loved the atmosphere, the dining area, and the vegetarian food was really good. We went for a buffet breakfast. But we were astonished that there were two chaffing trays labeled “No Vegetariano”. We opened them and they were full of real meat sausage. Very disappointing. We use Happy Cow when traveling and we only focus on Vegan or Vegetarian places, not places with “veg options”. While the vast majority of the food was vegetarian, this should not be considered 100% vegetarian, because it’s not. Not if they serve meat. I really wanted to love this place. But I will reserve my business for 100% veggie restaurants.

Vegans are not welcome. Also felt really sick during the middle of my meal.

Hardly any vegan options available. They use butter for mostly everything so you can’t eat a lot of the veggies.

Tasty but not too healthy

125 pesos is great value for lunch and the setting is pleasant. Breakfast costs the same and it's less worth it. I went twice and here my comments:
1. The food is tasty but really not healthy: far too much oil, and flavour enhancers;
2. In both occasions i haven't seen any raw vegetables;
3. soy protein meat replacement is everywhere. It would be better just avoiding it and for example using beans

Pros: Mexican food, prepared by Mexicans

Cons: As real Mexican food, not too healthy

Good taste but only a few vegan options

The fruit selection is great. The vegan options at the main breakfast buffet are usually chilaquiles, beans, veggies and sometimes fried tacos or potatoes. The other dishes often contain milk eggs or butter also the vegetables.

Pros: Cheap for what you get , Café de olla

Cons: Small selection of vegan food

This place is amazing!!

The food is soo delicious! They have everything you could want! They have mostly traditional Mexican food (chilaquiles, sopes, salsas, quesadillas, taquitos, rice/beans) plus they have pastas, soups, pancakes, eggs! They also have a fruit bar with yogurt, granola and different kinds of fruit. Plus they have different kinds of aguas with and without sugar as well as café de olla (Mexican coffee). They will also make you eggs however you like them and smoothies. This place is sooooooooo good and only $100 pesos for as much as you can eat. Definitely don’t miss this spot! It’s not super central in the typical “tourist” area but it’s well worth the trip there!

Awesome, cheap vegetarian buffet

So great, we're so glad we found this local spot. We ate there 3 times during the 1 week we were in PV, because it was wonderful and cheap (109 pesos per person). Tons of different options, including a cold-bar with great selection of yogurts, fresh cut fruits, granola, coconut, bee pollen, and nuts. They even had vegetarian tomales. Very sweet and attentive staff, great variety of foods, very clean, and the buffet items change daily. Breakfast is 8am-1pm, then they change over for lunch/dinner from 1pm-5pm. The cold bar is included, and so are a variety of non-alcoholic drinks and fresh brewed coffee. When we return to PV, we're going to make sure we stay in the same neighborhood so we can go here again!.

Pros: excellent food and variety, very inexpensive, local spot

Cons: no cons
