Soooo good! - Edit
Such a huuge menu with incredibly affordable dishes. Everything is very well seasoned. We only paid 9 euros for two mains and two homemade iced teas

Morning buffet - Edit
Stopped here in the morning to grab a takeaway buffet box for our boat tour. Economical buffet with rice (white or brown) or noodles plus 3 dishes. The lady serving was very clear about which dishes weren’t vegan, although most of them were. The food was delicious, veg options and some mock meat including an amazing mutton.

Tasty food, great location, very friendly staff, and it can be so cheap! The combo option, which includes rice (brown or white) and three options from the buffet (proteins, salads) cost just 8,50 MYR (US$ 1,90!) in December 2024

Breathtaking food - Edit
This place is amazing from service to food🫶🏼 we had a variety of meals but the vege goose was my favourite.
Read moreIt comes with a nice sweet plum sauce which fit really well to the goose. The vege pepper lamb was also unbelievable. We also went with fried noodles they were delicious, so were the dumplings.
The staff directly knows what we meant when we ask for vegan food and was really helpful. Also we had a sweet and sour chicken which was really good all we had was amazing! It’s really cheap too.

This was just down the road from where we were staying so checked it out one lunchtime.

Excellent - Edit
I liked this place. They serve both a la carte dishes and buffet. Staff spoke English well, which made my order much easier. The price was affordable, not cheap cheap but for the food and service, it is worth it. The restaurant was clean and cool. I had a meehoon dish, which was rather huge.

best in kk! - Edit
„are you vegan?“ came the response to my initial „hello“. i‘ve eaten here many times since. likely some of the tastiest vegan food i’ve had in eastern malaysia, definately the tastiest in KK! staff are competent and attentive to vegan requirements, will double-check if unsure!
Read morebuffet-style bf and lunch with many vegan options, lots of mock meat (the mock lamb was lovely and so were the pickles) and à-la-carte (the hericium dish was scrumptious), brown rice available until it runs out.
quite atmospheric place too compared to most other brightly lit/cold/bland eateries.
Pros: delicious, cheap, friendly, attentive, cosy
Cons: closes at 3 pm

Great vegetarian with mock meat - Edit
Great place. After we explained we are vegans they recommended all dishes we can eat. All of them tasted great. My favorite was blank pepper lamb (soy mushroom basis). Best vegan in Malaysia so far.

Another Vegetarian Restaurant - Edit
Noticed this newly opened vegetarian restaurant when I visited KK town. As a matter of fact, I haven't tried the food but I did walk in to check out the place.
Read moreThe environment is pretty cozy. Besides ala carte menu which I managed to snap, there are items served at bain marie.
There is also a small corner selling some items but I didn't check it out. Just thought I may write my first comment since I requested to include this new restaurant & share the menus I snapped.
Hence rating this eatery 3-star as I've never tried the food.

Good! - Edit
Visited this vegetarian restaurant and glad to know that they understand vegan very well. Note that milk is used in curry, tom yum dishes so make sure you ask them to exclude the milk for these dishes. Overall service is fine except the one time that I was served by a very rude lady.

Functional vegetarian place - Edit
We ordered veggie lamb curry, veggie pork sweet and sour, and two cups of tea, costing about £4/€5. Both dishes were tasty, not sure whether the sweet and sour had msg.

Really tasty food but slightly basic, ordered sweet and sour pork with rice. If it wasn’t a vegetarian only restaurant I’d doubt that it was wasn’t real meat! Lovely staff. They also have a buffet available.

Tastiest meal I had in Kota Kinabalu! The buffet selection served at lunch fiend had a really great choice available with white or economy rice, lots of green veggies, different styles of tofu and tempeh, a few different curries and noodles available too.

Vegan lamb & salted fish 😱 - Edit
My first time to try vegan lamb & if this hadn’t been a 100% vegetarian place I’d have been concerned & made sure the staff hadn’t made a mistake - it was very convincing! (Well, for someone who has never eaten lamb 😂) I was hoping for the buffet but this must be at lunch/earlier in the day because I went at about 7pm for dinner & the buffet area was empty, it was a la carte only. The curry lamb with rice was pretty tasty. You get a small bowl of clear soup as well. Simple place, popular with locals. They have a vegan version of salted fish (popular in Sabah) - looking forward to going back to try this. Staff at counter understood removing dairy products to veganise (the curry normally contains dairy so ask for it without!) & quite incredibly they also understood that condensed milk is not vegan (something which is generally not well understood in Malaysia). I hope they consider replacing/getting rid of the plastic straws.
