Traditional German restaurant

This restaurant offers a lot of traditional German dishes, I recommend visiting it if you come with meat eaters who want to try something typical German. They have some nice vegan options too, some of them also typical German. I had the potato Pancakes, which were pretty good and authentic. If you come with more than 2 people you should make a reservation in advance. The service was in a rush, our waitress was super friendly but another waiter yelled at us when we waited to get seated that we stand in his way. My Mom had a dish with fresh mushrooms, but they have been frosted before.

3 vegan options

For a Brauhaus to have vegan options in the menu is a lot! I tried the pasta Bolognese and I really liked it. Another time I tried the stuffed peppers and the consistency was a bit weird, but still tasty

Pros: 3 vegan options, Nice atmosphere

Cons: Bit expensive, Too loud

Really poor

I was there with friends from Poland, because I want to show them a typical Cologne style restaurant. They are non vegans and like their food. But my vegan pasta Bolognese wasn‘t tasty. The sauce was dry and bitter.
They have to other vegan options, for a „Brauhaus“ quite a lot, but they have to make it better.

Pros: 3 vegan options

Cons: Not tasty , Expensive

Rare vegan options

It's a traditional cologne brewery so it's great that they offer modern vegan food besides the traditional German meals. It's a bit sad, that the only vegan labeled item is fancy, it would be nice to have one or two traditional food items as a vegan version on the menu.
The atmosphere is very nice though.

Pros: They have a vegan option

Cons: Not many vegan options

No vegan options and very unfriendly staff

We went there last weekend during the day. There were no vegan options on the daytime menu. When asking the staff if it was possible to make any vegan meal, the reaction was a short 'no!'.
Very unfriendly staff in general. We went to a different restaurant instead.

Pros: Nice terrace

Cons: No vegan options on daytime menu, Unfriendly staff

Would visit again

My omni boyfriend and I went here for lunch today. I had the vegan lentil stew and the dish was very good! It came with bread (and my boyfriend and I ordered a plate of french fries to share). It was just a little too salty for me, but combined with the bread it was fine. The atmosphere was good, service fast and we saw many locals eating there too.

Pros: English menu, vegan options marked on menu

Impressed

There aren’t many traditional breweries here with vegan and vegetarian options, but Zims has a few. With my vegetarian friend we had the Gurke, the lentil soup, the mushroom and bread dumplings and the potato Fritters, all of which were tasty, as was the Kölsch. The service was very friendly and the ambiance was warm and inviting and not too loud (though it was Sunday). We would come again.
