Read moreWe went there twice. The first time we had sausage, cheese and bread as a starter, my girlfriend had a burger as her main and I tried a chicken Francesinha. The taste was exceptional. The waiters were all really friendly, I was regularly asked if I wanted more sauce. Afterwards we took some pastries to go, those being one Pizza pastry, one filled with seitan, a KitKat doughnut and a pistachio croissant. All of them were amazing as well, and we even got a free Pastel de Nata because I tipped 6€ (which is pretty standard on a bill of 54€!). The food for that price is unbelievably good, mains are 13 - 15€, a doughnut is 2.80€. Similarly sized and decorated doughnuts are usually twice that in price in Germany.
The second time we went there was our 7 year anniversary. We had the same starter but different main dishes. My girlfriend had what was basically a baguette bun filled with sausage, topped with cheese in a Francesinha sauce, and I had Patatas Rotas, which consists of seitan strips, sausage, potatoes and cheese in a Francesinha sauce. For dessert I had the cheesecake and my girlfriend the semifreddo.
Like before, food and service was absolutely amazing. The waiter even took our picture after I asked him to because of our anniversary. Because of that we got a free snickers doughnut to take home!
I would eat here everyday if I could. Definitely the best vegan restaurant near Porto.

The staff were super friendly and were able to seat us without a reservation. Had a very good appetizer for only 2,90 and the burgers and traditional Portugees food were all fairly priced. The baked goods were still looking and tasting very nice at the end of the day.

Read moreI really liked the tortilla appetizer and the desserts, but they were huge. One dessert is more than enough for two people, especially the biscoff one was like a meal in itself.
Unfortunately none of us liked the francesinha, as the sauce was way too strong and overwhelming for us. The other rice dish was good, but way too oily.

Friends recommended we stop here and they were so right. So friendly, cute interior and off the charts Portuguese food. We had the francesina, tofu com broa (tofu with seaweed breadcrumbs) and the cachorrinho de casa (starter). And some pasteis de nata and a dounut to take home. All 10/10

We got the Padini de “Chouriço” starter to share, then for mains had the Francesinha da Casa and the Burrito n’Pork. Everything was absolutely delicious, but the Francesinha was mind blowing. The sauce was just amazing. If you want to eat a vegan Francesinha in Portugal this is the best one, hands down.

Seja para um almoço casual ou uma refeição especial, o Padoca Vegan vale qualquer deslocação. Uma referência incontestável da gastronomia vegan em Portugal.

Gosto de tudo na Padoca em Gaia. A comida, e agora com novos menus ao jantar, o espaço sofreu obras e está ainda mais aconchegante, e o staff é muito bom. É o espaço vegan que mais frequento no Grande Porto. Muito bom tb para jantares de grupo. Recomendo mesmo muito.

Phenomenal food in Gaia - Edit
I’ve been to Padoca multiple times in the past year and love it every time! The pastries are fresh and delicious and the main dishes are so unique and stand out from other vegan options around. Their françesinha is so unique and delicious I love it. Very highly recommend!

Great coffe and pastries - Edit
We had a coffee break there and the pastries where amazing. The coffee was good as well, however pastries really stood out. Even for non-vegans it is still of the beter bakeries.
