Huge portions and lots of vegan options to choose from. We had loaded fries with crispy tofu, fried noodles and iron and black bean (spicy. But it wasn't that spicy haha). The staff were friendly and they have single unisex toilets with their own sink and hand dryer so this was nice like you have some privacy.
Read moreThe decor is really cool, Bleach was showing on the TV on the lower level. There is lots of seating available so no booking was needed for a weekday lunchtime.
The only downside is that you have to order over a link which isn't organised well, like you can't filter by vegan or gluten free or anything and the menu isn't organised it is just a long list and you have to click back and forth multiple times which is frustrating and after trying to put everything in the 'basket' the order was pending for about 5 minutes so I checked at the till and they said it wasn't working so we had to re-order everything old school way at the till. It wasn't the worst thing of course but it was a bit annoying so I think if we were in a group bigger than 3 I would reconsider going there.

Had the pho with Korean chili sauce - tasty enough! You scan a QR code and order that way so not much room to ask for recommendations. A good few vegan options to choose from. A bit soulless but the food is good.

Ended up here out of convenience and hunger. The vibe is a cross between south East Asian hawker centre and trendy futurama cobbled chic. I am not a fan of QR code menus but luckily the lovely staff gave me a real printed menu along with her personal recommendations. The food delivery was fast and the portion size adequate but if it had not been for the staff I’d have probably hated this place. Average food quality and taste and maybe slightly overpriced.

You order via the QR code at the table, no issues with this, but when you filter to vegan it takes out lots of dishes which are labeled vegan. So had to go through the full menu which took some time! Once ordered the food came really quickly. We shared vegan wings then poke bowl and pho. All tasted fresh and large portions. Great quick lunch stop.

Good selection of vegan options, clearly marked on the menu. I had the Korean wings and blackbean udon noodles, both were very tasty. Atmosphere was relaxed, fun, and it was easy to order. I would definitely go again.

I visited on a Wednesday afternoon and it was quiet so I was served quickly. I'd just got out of a tattoo appointment so I needed something quick to eat before I drove home! I ordered one of the express deals, salt and pepper tofu with rice and a lemonade.
Read moreThe tofu was crispy with a nice salt and pepper flavour. I thought both the tofu and rice was a generous portion and I couldn't finish it all. My lemonade came with ice and a slice of fruit but it also had a bit of blue roll in it 😂
I wouldn't rush back to Hello Oriental to eat it again. It was overall pretty average food. Perhaps another dish would change my mind? I did want a tofu curry but there wasn't a vegan tofu curry available, the Malaysian curry contains egg! It would also be nice to see a noodle dish with tofu on the menu.
Good if you're in need of some quick food but expensive for what it is.

If you are gluten free and vegan there are only 2 items on the menu that you can have. I had the pho and while it looked okay but lacking vegetables and was mainly noodles and broth which lacked flavour. Very disappointing overall.

I initially ordered this to collect but when arriving I asked to sit in with it and they were more than happy to accommodate. Food was really tasty, the strawberry fruit tea was AMAZING

The bahn mi sandwich was amazing - really good value too. The bao buns were delicious. Didn't think the Vietnamese noodle tofu soup dish had much flavour so wouldn't recommend that but overall the food here was great!
