Serves meat, vegan options available. Nepalese restaurant in the center of Innsbruck. There are three vegan main dishes (red lentil curry, chickpeas in spicy sauce, crispy vegetable balls in a tangy masala sauce) which are clearly labeled on the menu, but also most starters and the vegetarian momos (Nepalese dumplings) are vegan. The naan bread given with every main dish is not vegan. Staff are knowledgeable about veganism. Reservations recommended. Open Mon-Sat 12:00-14:30, Mon-Sun 18:00-22:00.

Wir hatten die Gemüsebällchen und waren sehr zufrieden. Frisch gemacht und lecker, viel Reis und frisches Brot dazu. Die Portion ist mehr als ausreichend und es war sehr lecker. Klare Empfehlung! Nur Barzahlung möglich.

Read morethe evening we went there (with omnis - and with a reservation ofc), they were clearly overbooked - so there was not so much time to ask.
also, staff asked us to be more quiet a couple of minutes after we arrived - but the whole restaurant full.
the food was okay, but not the best nepalese food i ever had. also the price was ok.

The vegan options we tried were good, the food is served with rice and naan (or a vegan alternative, they even asked us if we were vegan).

For me there was not much flavour and the dishes were a bit boring. We were surprised that this restaurant was recommended to us. And some of the staff members were a bit unfriendly. Fortunately some were friendly, that’s why I give 3 stars.

Ok das Essen war ganz gut. Aber anstatt direkt zu sagen dass der Laden in Kürze schließt wurden wir an einen Tisch gesetzt. Noch bevor das Essen da war haben die Mitarbeiter angefangen aufzuräumen und sehr provokant gezeigt das wir uns beeilen sollen. Die Sonnenschirme wurden auf den Nachbartisch gestapelt und als wir was zu trinken bestellen wollten, das Essen war scharf, hat man uns gesagt es sei bereits geschlossen. Das hätten die uns vorher sagen können. Aber Geld scheint hier den Vorrang zu haben. Das ist kein guter Service. Nie wieder!!!

I love vegan momo! Place is very vegan friendly. Stuff is attentive to details. Before they serve bread they ask if you are vegan. And if you are - they will bring you vegan flatbread. Dahl is tasty as well.

A Nepalese restaurant which offers everyday a vegetarian (generally vegan) menu for only 8,50€. The food is good and fulfilling. There is also a menu to choose from, where vegan/vegetarian dishes are clearly indicated. We went there twice during our two days in Innsbruck: so great to find good veg*n food, at a very fair price, in a country with so limited options otherwise!

Ich esse sehr gern beim Himal, weil die Gerichte wirklich immer gut schmecken. Die Portionen sind sehr groß und das Personal weiß auch genau, welche Speisen vegan sind. Diese sind auf der Speisekarte nur bei den Hauptspeisen gekennzeichnet, aber auch einige der Vorspeisen (Gurkensalat, frittiertes Gemüse, Veggie-Vorspeisenplatte usw.) sind vegan. Besonders empfehlenswert sind die Gemüsebällchen, das ist mal etwas anderes als die typischen veganen Gerichte, die man in indischen oder nepalesischen Lokalen bekommt. Achtung: Das Naan-Brot ist nicht vegan, bei der Bestellung dazu sagen, dass man dafür mehr Reis möchte. Falls man als größere vegane Gruppe kommt wird auch gern extra veganes Brot zubereitet.
