For a business that claims to be wholesale, most items are ridiculously expensive. They do have a nice selection, and the store is kept clean and well-stocked. I've only been once and most likely will not return, just gauging the demands of my pocketbook.
You can buy bulk at all of the area stores, but why not go directly to the source? They provide me with all of my beans, lentils, barley flakes, honey, Tamari, sun-dried tomatoes... The list goes on.
Wonderful that it is family-owned and sources so many local and Oregon products.
Beautiful building filled with amazing people dedicated to bringing organic, local, and regional food to the people! Offering snacks, bulk goods, yummy nut butters and...excellent customer service! Great stop for those on a road trip or needing high quality food for their home!
Hummingbird Wholesale is an incredible local family-owned bulk organic food distributor. They try to contract directly with farmers and work with them to help transition farms from growing grass seed to growing food crops. Their sustainable business practices are like none I have ever seen or heard- a solar oven for heating up people's lunches sits outside the warehouse, they grown food around the building, the building operates on solar, they have been delivering locally to distributors on bicycle for the past 17 years. Each delivery on bike can hold up to 1,000 lbs! And so much more (just check it out for yourself). Open to the public two days a week where everyone can enjoy an incredible selection of Raw, Organic, Vegan, Vegetarian options.

Buy organic items in bulk - Edit
This is where I buy my rice, wheat berries and soybeans in bulk. While there, I always find good buys on nuts, honey, etc. Love this place.
