Very good food with generous portions - Edit
The restaurant has two different rooms with two different entries, so if one is full (and that place does get busy!) you might have a table in the other room. Fun fact : the room where we stayed has sand on the floor, so it's like if you're in the desert or the beach. You can have hummus to start with and then a mixed platter with only vegan dishes. We went for the vegan mixed platter that had injera, the four vegan dishes of the menu and salad in the middle. All of this was super tasty. The staff is also very nice and fun .

This place gets a lot of hype and the vegan platter was indeed quite good - I would not say it is my favorite place to get Eritirean in the city but it's a great option if you're nearby

I got the vegan variety platter for dinner. Chickpeas, lentil, spinach, and potatoes dishes were all delicious. Potatoes were magically spiced. Chickpea dish was a bit sweet and gave my mouth the most lovely coziness. Would recommend.

ich kann afrikanische/ethiopisch/eritreische küche immer empfehlen, einfach von der erfahrung ist es etwas komplett anderes. es ist meistens alles ohne fleisch sofort vegan (außer die nachspeisen) und man kann auf einer platte alle speisen probieren. sehr schöne atmosphäre, es gibt auch ein bauhaus! für sonderplätze muss man früh reservieren

Wir hätten auch Besteck bekommen können... Aber die ursprüngliche Art afrikanisch zu Essen ist mit Brotstückchen Sauce aufzunehmen und zu Essen: also Essen mit den Fingern😄wir haben es probiert, was gerade am Anfang gewöhnungsbedürftig war - hat Spaß gemacht und lecker war die gemischte vegane Platte obendrein. My first time eating african food. You don't get cutlery and eat everything with "bread". The hummus was literally the best hummus that I ever had. It had so much flavor and had the perfect level of spice. I think it's a great idea to have a small menu because choosing is really difficult for most vegans I know.

I was there with some friends and had a good time. My vegan mixed plate offered 4 tasty dishes - all good on their own. Also, the homemade drinks were creative and good! Seating is quite unique and I have never seen a restaurant with a sand floor!. Would come back!

You can sit with your feet in sand indoors and they take really good care of you and your needs. Love to eat with my fingers. Great to go in a small group.

Wirklich ein tolles Lokal mit zum Thema passender Einrichtung. Das Personal ist super freundlich und war auch bei der Reservierung flexibel und hat auf Änderungen super reagiert. Das Hummus als Vorspeise kam schnell und wr sehr lecker! Wäre aber nicht nötig gewesen da die vegane Platte als Hauptspeise echt riesig war. Aber auch extrem lecker! Als Besonderheit ist sicher zu erwähnen, dass traditionell mit den Händen gegessen wird!

This had a buzzing atmosphere. Highly recommend to make a reservation as people kept coming throughout the night starting from 6pm and needing to stand for a while to get a table. Fun décor inside although we sat outside. Excellent Ethiopian/ Eritrean food – I had the vegan plate of injera (the fermented bread) served with four curries (spinach, potato, red lentils, and chickpeas) plus little salad in the middle. Tasted great. I was hungry and couldn’t finish it! Really recommend it. Please note they do not accept credit cards - only debit cards and cash.

We opted for a vegan platter for two. 12.50 euros each, which consisted of Eritrean injera, two ground tomato Chickpea dishes, one tomato lentil dish, one potato, carrot and tomato dish and one sautéed spinach dish. The portions were huge. We went in very hungry and could not finish it! The food is eaten with your hands.

This place is great for a date with someone you really care about (great for any other occasion as well I suppose). You only eat with your hands, no cutlery allowed! It created a very intimate atmosphere if you share. The veg sharing plate is huge, and it's amazing! I want to go back ASAP.

The food was amazing! There are lots of vegetarian options and I think about half of them are vegan as well, The people there are really nice and made us feel welcomed. The seating arrangement can get a bit cosy but that can make an evening even better if you can start a conversation with strangers. It's pretty popular so I would recommend reserving.
