First Surinamese experience - Edit
Tons of options here, just ask the staff for advice and they'll take care of you. Really enjoyed the Bara appetizer. Hadn't had Surinamese before, and went back more than once to try out all out!

Good for something different on the island - Edit
We ordered the savory lentil donut, fried rice, and curried potatoes with cabbage salad and a large roti. The food wasn't super exciting in terms of flavors but tasty enough with good portion sizes. Service was excellent.

Delicious! - Edit
Our favorite when we visited Aruba in February 2020. We both ate in and got carry out. Staff was able to point out what was vegan. A number of things can be vegan with some changes, so don't hesitate to ask what the vegan options are. I loved the veg roti and the veg bami (noodles- ask for it without egg to make it vegan). On the appetizer menu the bara is vegan. We went once and they were out, but they did have veg samosas (which I don't think are on the menu).

Excellent Indonesian/Suriname food - Edit
We had a great dinner tonight while visiting Aruba. The food is Indonesian with a twist perhaps because of the Surinamese. The menu has vegetarian options but the staff is friendly and pointed out the vegan options ( appetizer spicy dumpling), or that can be made vegan; there is tasty gado-gado, nice curried potatoes and mild cabbage with the roti, we also had veggie noodles with tofu. Yum! Also not busy if you go early, we went at 5pm which is opening time. Parking can be tricky as they only seem to have a couple of spaces in front of the restaurant. Worth eating here!

Good place - Edit
Indo has tasty nasi with tofu, roti and pietjel (vegetables with peanut sauce).
Read moreWe've eaten here twice in our vacation. The second time the owner made some Surinamese vegetables for us, but we liked this a little less, these vegetables tasted very bitter.
It's nice that they also have homemade drinks like noni juice (delicious!) and ginger beer. Awesome homemade sambal (hot sauce)!
Pros: Super friendly staff
Cons: Cash only

Amazing food and service! - Edit
Happy to leave a glowing review for Indo! Not too far from the high-rise hotel district and/or downtown this quaint and somewhat hidden-gem is a great discovery! My husband and I got there around 6:15-6:30 on Saturday night and we were the only people there. The lady (maybe the owner??) took our order and was knowledgeable about how everything was prepared and was very happy to tell us what our vegan options were and was happy to accommodate us. We got fried rice with tofu, (she was happy to have the egg held), roti with potatoes and some veggies with peanut satay sauce....that's a total of three entrees and I had wine and my husband a beer or two and it was only $40! We over-tipped and told them we will be back every time we go to Aruba! The food was absolutely delicious, our first time eating bona fide Indonesian. It was prepared with love and served with a super friendly smile. Oh- and by the time we were finished eating the place was almost completely full! The atmosphere was quaint and quirky and very local/"mom and pop." Can't wait to go back! Highly recommend.

vegan Indonesian - Edit
This is a veg friendly place and may look like a hole in the wall, but once I saw all the locals I knew I would be hooked. They had good vegan options and we loved every dish!!!
