Cheese! - Edit
Very small shop but stocked full of vegan goodness. We were treated to a 'fauxmage' tasting, all lovely and luscious, before buying a camembert style cheese. Vegans owe it to themselves to visit this place.

Great shop with awesome products - Edit
I wasn't exactly in the area, but as a vegan cheese lover I chose to make an extra metro ride to get there. What a good decision! The staff was so nice and welcoming and offered help and encouraged us to try their cheeses. I bought a glass of Jay Coco (a plant based joghurt), which will forever be my favorite vegan joghurt. I liked that the taste was fresh and neutral like joghurt should be (not sweet or anything). There are only 3 ingredients: rice, coconut and ferment - wow! I was blown away by the perfect consistency, they reached without anything else. In my opinion the simple products show the quality of food the most (like a marinara pizza for example) and this joghurt is a statement, wow!
Read moreSecond thingh I got was a Joséphine camembert style cheese. We had it on the train ride leaving paris on a freshly bought pain tradition. It was creamier than other vegan camembert products I had before and I also think that the taste itself is really unique. For me it was surprising that there were not only cashews on the ingredient list but also sunflower seeds, I think they make Joséphine so tasty and tangy which makes it so special for me. I loved it!
I still have to try the Jean cendré, which is a fresh cheese with almonds and ash, but I am sure it will be very good.
Pros: friendly& welcoming staff, ingredients, taste

First and only vegan cheese factory in Paris - Edit
Very interesting cheese factory. You can find cheeses made out of cashews, almonds so even if you have allergies you should find something you can eat. I especially recommand josephine (camembert like) and jeta (feta like). Joie gras is also delicious (foie gras like).
Read moreNow you can easily find their products in organic shops (especially la vie claire and naturalia) and also at Un Monde VEGAN. Unfortunaly they stopped the one with spirulina which I enjoyed a lot. Vegan cheese is always expensive but you can find products for 4/5€.

Nice cheeses and the Joie gras is amazing! - Edit
This was on our must visit list of places to visit in Paris. The person was lovely in there and allowed us to try some cheeses and the Joie gras. We bought the Joie gras and the almond based cheese cendre. We could have bought more but you can only eat so much in week and we’ve done a pretty good job! I was slightly disappointed that we were too late for ice cream season (finished in September) but I recommend a visit.

Joie Gras & happy cheezes! - Edit
A cute little store with artisan vegan cheezes and a good selection of other international vegan products. I tried the "Joie Gras" and loved(!) it. So good, I had to take some with me. And while shopping we also exchanged some vegan recommendations for a next trip to Berlin😄

Surprisingly Good! - Edit
Half of their operation is the retail store and half is the “factory.” When we arrived, they were making a batch of cheese. So, we stayed and watched the show while sampling all of the cheeses available. There wasn’t a bad sample in the bunch, and several were so close to “real” cheese that it is hard to believe the casual observer could tell the difference. Needless to say, we left with several cheeses to enjoy.

Vegan cheese shop - Edit
I was here in June 2018 and bought the cheese Josephine which should be a type Roquefort. I have never tasted the cow milk version so I don't know if it has resemblance, if that would be important. The cheese tasted very good both eating it as is and in a baguette, but I would like it to be tuned up a little bit more flavour wise since it tended to disappear in the baguette.
Read moreThe wooden box is very nice and this would be a very nice give away gift if I would have lived in Paris. If I would have lived in Paris I would definitely have tried all there types of cheese but I didn't have time.
Pros: Very tasty home made cheese of high quality, Friendly staff, A lot to choose from
Cons: Would have liked a little bit stronger taste

I wish these were available where I live... - Edit
Back when I ate cheese I was all over moldy-smelly cheese and feta, and I have to admit that I miss that taste sometimes. We discovered Jay & Joy during a holiday to Paris, and I'm happy we actually paid them a visit. If you can't visit the shop itself, watch out for bio/reform-type food stores in Paris, some of them sell their products too (Mon Epicerie, for instance).
Read moreThe store itself is very small and is thus rather for purchasing, not for eating in. But there is a large selection of products available, all of which can be tasted. I tried Joséphine (the "camembert") and Jeta (the "feta"), and loved both of them. I only had the option to buy one, and oh man, was it a tough choice! In the end I purchased Joséphine (not because I liked it more, but the possible air transport seemed easier with the cute little round wooden box, similar to regular camembert cheese boxes). It tasted lovely, but it reminded me more of brie due to the bitter taste of the thin, soft mold shell. The cheese had a nice texture overall, it was just pleasant to eat it :) There was a little aftertaste of sunflower seeds about 10 mins after finishing eating, which I did not mind.
Jeta was available for purchase in the traditional "cubes in olive oil"-format, and was also very tasty with a nice aftertaste - by far the best vegan feta alternative I have tasted so far.
I seriously wish this place was not thousands of kilometres away from where I live, I would love to eat their stuff regularly... Also, for artisan vegan cheese and for Paris combined, I found the price of the products to be very reasonable.
Pros: nice variety, nice price for artisan vegan cheese, tasting available before purchase
Cons: small, no option to eat in
