Local market with both conventional as well a large natural foods section with items that are hard to find in the area, including gluten-free. There are also aisles for various countries (i.e. Thailand, Germany, India, etc.) with imported foods. The produce section has imported vegetables and fruits such as durian, rambutan, and dragonfruit. Open Mon-Sun 8:00am-10:00pm.

Worth the trip - Edit
I first went to Jungle Jim’s last November and have been itching to come back. I live in Akron and happened to be passing through on my way back from Missouri. The store is an experience in and of itself. They have the staples you come to expect and some extra. The international fair is expansive.

Could've been there for hours - Edit
One of my kids found this place before we'd ever left for our road trip and begged for us to check it out while we were in Cincinnati.
Read moreWe just happened to have time, so we made the 30 minute drive north to check it out.
We were all really happy that we did. This place seems like the Disneyland of grocery stores.
They not only have a ton of different grocery products, but also a huge international section, old time candy section, plant based products section and gluten free foods sections.
They had a lot of gluten free products that I haven't been able to find in years, which was fantastic!
There are definitely some interesting quirks to this place. So if you ever make it out to Jungle Jim's be prepared for some interesting oddities.
Pros: Huge selection, Odd idiosyncrasies, Hard to find items

Tons of vegan products - Edit
One of my favorite grocery stores in the US! The international section is huge and there are lots of vegan goodies to be found. You can also shop in the American food section where there's a whole aisle full of vegan frozen foods, vegan dairy products, and pantry products. So much good food to discover that I've never seen anywhere else.

Weird Food Superstore - Edit
This place is huge! Seriously gigantic! It's bigger than some Walmarts I've been in. They have a ridiculously wide selection of international and hard to find foods. Produce and packaged vegan foods I've never seen before. Great booze selection. I find the place highly entertaining, aside from being a good place to buy food.

Never Been to Jungle Jims? Go. Now. - Edit
I'm like a kid in a candy store in this place! (And, to be fair, there is a decent amount of candy in the store.) This isn't *just* a grocery store, or *just* an international foods market - it is possibly bigger than a super-Walmart, and has food (and non-food items) from all over the world. Looking for an obscure ingredient? Chances are, JJ's has it. Each department is humongous, including the beer & wine section with selections from all over the world, produce section with many fruits/veggies I've never seen elsewhere (or even heard of in some cases!), a great natural foods section with plenty of vegan cheeses, yogurts, fake meats, etc. They also have natural non-food products, such as their amazing selection of essential oils. For the gluten-sensitive, there is a large selection of gluten-free products, in their own section.
Read moreGrab a map when you get there or you may get lost, and make sure you've got at least a couple hours so that you can take it all in. Make sure you check out the restrooms while you're there! Feel free to bring your omnivore friends & family with you, too - they have a large selection of meats & cheeses.
The only complaint I really have is that sometimes it can be difficult to find an item and price compare, because each country has its own section. I had grabbed a bag of raw cashews in the natural/organic section, and found a bigger and cheaper (per oz) bag while looking in the Indian section for some garam masala.
Pros: Has just about everything
Cons: Hard to comparison shop
