Non-vegan items - Edit
We went to their Saturday brunch today. While most of the food is vegan, very yummy, and part of the money you pay goes to supporting good causes. Since this place is labeled as (vegan) on Happy Cow, I was surprised to see some non-vegan items like a pasta with cheese, egg omelets and non-vegan pastries.

That is strange, are you sure it was not vegan stuff?

It was a special event with Solidaritetsköket. Normally everything is vegan.

A 100%. the vegan stuff were labeled as ‘vegan’ while the other dishes were not and clearly contained eggs and dairy. We also asked about the pastries and they told us that they were not vegan.

Blue teefs - Edit
Sick vibes!!! The interior is so cool and the place has a very welcoming atmosphere which is enhanced by queer flags and socialist stickers that litter the walls. We went for coffee and cake and were surprised at how cheap it was. The drinks were refillable too so very good value for the price we paid. The blueberry pie we got was really good too though it did stain our teeth blue so gave us a slightly diseased look for about an hour. Overall, a cool experience I would do again to experience more of the menu😄

Love this place. The pesto lasagna is to die for - and the price is only 90 sek! 10% off if you're a student or non-working. Blueberrypie simple but oh so good.

Cool atmosphere - average food - Edit
This place has a really sick atmosphere and a great moral stance but I found the food to be pretty average.
Read moreI had the chickpea pasta which was just salty spaghetti with some veg and blended chickpeas. I can’t speak for the other good though and the other reviews speak highly. Maybe just a bad choice on my part.
Also no pricing. Handed 200 krone over when I paid and received no change. Feel a bit robbed really

I went there in the middle of the day when there wasn’t much going on, but it seems like a pretty cool events space. I had a chickpea burger with fries and it was very tasty and filling.

Super cool - Edit
Probably the coolest place in Stockholm. The interior looks super relaxed and creates an atmosphere with super positive vibes. The waiters are super nice, the food tasted incredible - I had a vegan burger with fries and then 2 pieces of vegan cakes. This place rocks, and you definitely need to see this place.

A little bit of Central Europe in Stockholm - Edit
There’s nothing else like this in the city. Kafe 44 wouldn’t feel out of place in Prague or Dresden. At the weekend, there’s a book store out front, where you can get Palestinian products. You’ll find flyers for events and causes worth supporting. The people who run this place are clearly out to do good.
Read moreI’ve been here a few times for food, both during the week and at the weekend. The food itself is pretty wholesome I’d say, the burger patty isn’t just a store bought slab of fake meat, the lasagne is packed with lentils, the dessert of choice is carrot cake.
Pros: Good, real good , Selection of sodas , Great atmosphere

That's what their banner says but that's more importantly what they work for, every day. I LOVE the non-hierarchical, inclusive, non-for profit spirit!
Read moreI just had the daily soup (potato and leek) and a salad, and it's perfect for a cold November day. I decided to eat here every day I'm in Stockholm, easy choice!
I returned the next day and had lasagne, mmmm, delicious! Creamy, pesto-y, very flavourful.

Cheap good vegan food. U can get a lunch for only 6 Euro! Great vibes and u can feel years of punk concerts in the walls. Many concerts have taken place in the room next door. Nuff said, go and eat here allready!

Great space. Small bookshop as you come in and cafe space downstairs. Opening times and menus vary, but on Saturdays it's often folkkök with pay as much as you can afford vegan food. Nobody will leave hungry. There's zines and boardgames, too.

EDIT 2019:
Read moreMy another visit after 6 years was great again - delicious burgers and vegan semlor (it is like a heaven in the mouth). Everything at great prices, kind staff.
The potatoes as a side-dish were a bit burnt.
There is a great decoration, especially a piece of Danuta Danielsson.
On Sunday we have read the opening times for weekdays (claimed to open at 9AM) in their menu but it was still closed when we visited the day after. :-(
Accepts credit cards and cash.
