Excellent and nice atmosphere - Edit
Very delicious food, they're not shy on the spices and it doesn't feel "germanized". Nice personnel.

Great Buddhist Chinese Dishes - Edit
For all the vegan Vietnamese places in Berlin, vegan Chinese restaurants are still a rarity. Which is a shame when they can be as good as Kamala Vegan. We had a selections of hot and cold starters. We particularly recommend the Glas Noodle Salad (which was quite filling actually), the Sao Mai dumplings and the Baozi. We will definitely be back to try some of the main dishes and the tea ceremony.

lovely place - Edit
The staff is very nice and attentive, I've been there a few times and they also take the charitable aspect very important as well. The food is great and you can book a tea tasting as well.

Tasty duck dish - Edit
I ordered the vegan fried duck. This was fried duck with lots of vegetables and mushrooms with some rice. The duck was good, good flavour and texture with a good crispy skin topping it. I really liked some of the mushrooms in there and the sauce gave a good savoury flavour. The rice was a bit over and mushy in places. It was one of the more expensive dishes on the menu and it didn't feel worth it. The problem is I can get a very similar and better exectued dish in loving huts in Prague for a fraction of the cost. Maybe if I didn't have this option on my doorstep I'd be more impressed.

Looooved it - Edit
It has been soo long since I had a proper sweet and sour Chinese dish. The menu is extensive, some plates have the small or big portion option. We were four, so asked for a bunch of small dishes and a couple of the ones that only have one type of portion. I enjoyed everything, especially the dishes with mushrooms and with tofu.

Incredibly good - Edit
All of the outdoor tables were taken on this nice evening, but indoor seating was also really nice, next to the large open windows. I was greeted right away with a menu full of food choices, and another full of drinks -- mostly tea. I chose the Cold Vegan Duck appetizer and the Black Pepper Vegan Beef main dish, along with a cold Guava Breeze Fruit Tea. Everything was excellent. And authentic. The people working here were all efficient and friendly. The devotional music playing in the background added to the nice atmosphere.

Average and pricy - Edit
The dish itself was an average one, pretty basic Chinese food, but surely not worth the 25€ I ended up paying. After being in Berlin for two weeks and eating all the time outside, this was the first place where I wasn’t able to order tap water. Felt like I was forced into paying also for the water.

Lecker, tolle Einrichtung - Edit

Amazing vegan Chinese food and Hot Pot - Edit
Kamala vegan is definitely one of the best vegan Chinese spots in Berlin. A lot of new Chinese restaurants (fully vegan or vegan options) have opened in Berlin in the past few years, but Kamala stands above a lot because of their large/diverse menu, great execution and the ability to get a high quality vegan Hot Pot. The staff is great and just about everything on the menu is excellent. Another vegan gem in Friedrichshain.

All vegan - Edit
Spacious restaurant with a wide selection of dishes, including some unusual ones. Choose from fake meat and fish as well as vegetable or soy options. I chose the Szechuan style lotus root dish. It was very tasty, but I couldn’t eat all the chilli and spring onions. Portions of generous. Rice is included. Would have liked some fresh green side dishes to choose from.

A Peaceful atmosphere - Edit
A lovely place with a very peaceful vibe. I almost felt I was back in a Tibetan restaurant in Dharamshala with the beautiful buddha images all over. The food was very good and there are plenty of choices, including some amazing teas. The place is also very clean. I would recommend it.

The jasmin tea was super yummy and I enjoyed a lot the cucumber salat as a starter.
The vegan duck tasted good. The sauce beside was a bit bland in my opinion.

Best food I've had in Berlin so far - Edit
Very good food. We got vegan pork belly and black pepper soy bits, as well as cucumber salad and dumplings. It was all very tasty. Also a good selection of teas. Very nice place roo. Only downside was that it's a bit pricy, but definitely worth it.

100% Chinese Vegan Cuisine... Is this real?... - Edit
Yeah it's insane
Read moreWe had several dishes "tapas style", kinda overwhelmed with the options 😅. Can recommend the kimchi and the cucumber salad a lot!
Also the vegan pork Bell was very nice, the vegan shrimps didn't convince me too much though, it's also a bit pricey but worth it for a special occasion imo
But the kimchi!!!!!!
