Small organic store

I visited the place on 8th of October 2024. The store was really small and didn't really have anything useful for me as a tourist. They mostly sell stuff that could be used for cooking. They did sell some soy milks and similar products but I didn't take a very close look at the packages.

They also do sell fish for example, so they're not as close to vegan as at the time of the previous review. I wouldn't visit this place for purely finding vegan stuff, maybe it's more for people interested in organic cooking ingredients. I don't remember seeing any vegan labeling.

Note that the current Happycow's map marker is incorrect, check Google Maps for the right location. I sent an update request to Happycow.

Kamakura beach natural food grocery

This small shop is crammed with organic merchandise : local fresh fruits and veggies, sourdough bread, tofu, tempeh, soy milk, grains, noodles, nuts, sauces and seasonings, dried fruit, seaweed, personal care and household cleaning products. I noticed some imported goods like Eden brand canned chickpeas. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the organic items. I only saw one non-vegan product for sale (raw milk) in the refrigerated section.

The owner is helpful and friendly, and the store is an easy walk from the Yuigahama beachfront on a popular shopping street. There’s a sign out on the sidewalk when the shop is open (10:00-18:30).

Pros: Well-stocked , Organic , Fresh breads and produce

Cons: Closed Saturday , Small space
