Still lacking - Edit
Update 30/10/24: Four years later, and they did have pancakes, but this time no vegan chicken, which ruled out most of the vegan mains. No pistachio pancakes, so got the Lotus ones. Menu still confusing with labelling. Service was fine. Still feels like the vegan options are a bit of an after thought.

Environment and staff were good, and they do have quite a few vegan options, but not that exciting. They did have a couple of interesting sounding vegan tuna and salmon options, but I'm not keen on most fish substitutes (not being a fan of fish as a meat eater).
Because of Covid they've not been able to get in vegan pancakes; non-vegan ones are made on site. The juices sounded nice but I just got a tap water. I couldn't see vegan carbonara on the menu. Their vegan burgers weren't marked vegan. Vegan is Ve and Vegetarian is V. Menu isn't the easiest to read. One of the few places open til 6pm on a Friday during Glasgow's 'circuit breaker', which was why we opted for here, to celebrate a birthday.
I ended up going for a chickn burger and chips, which did the job.

Great City Centre option - Edit
Popped in looking for brunch option and was pleasantly surprised by the options. I had full vegan breakfast followed by the biscoff pancakes. The breakfast was average as far as it goes but the oa makes we’re brill. So light and fluffy. I’ve never been able to make fluffy protein pancakes but I’m going to give them another go. Coffee was poor as oat milk wasn’t thick enough if that makes sense. Staff were very friendly.

Plenty of vegan options - Edit
Loved this place! Staff were super friendly and there were plenty of vegan options across the menu. Breakfast is served all day Saturday and Sunday.
Read moreI had the pancakes with granola, berries & maple..... So tasty! The pancakes were so fluffy. We went back later in the day for a biscoff doughnut.
Haven't tried their lunch menu but plenty of vegan options on it too. Will definitely go back.

Lively atmosphere with good vegan choices - Edit
Had protein pancakes which I asked for my own choices of toppings instead of from the menu. The staff was willing to accommodate and the pancakes were lovely. Juices and smoothies were fresh and refreshing. Desserts (strawberry and lemon tarts) were okay, but nothing super special though. Good experience overall.

Biscoff Pancake heaven - Edit
Had the vegan Biscoff protein pancakes and was in love! Tasted absolutely delicious, good portion size, and arrived quickly. (I’ve also previously tried their vegan burger and chips - likewise very tasty! They have a good variety of vegan options on the menu too, including Katy’s curry, etc) The staff here are super nice and helpful, you can tell their customer service is excellent. Overall very nice and would recommend!

Very impressed - Edit
I had the vegan katsu and was really impressed! Nice to have the nutritional details on the menu for me, although that may not be everyone’s cup of tea. Very refreshing to have healthy options instead of the lazy vegan options you have in other places. Staff were friendly ☺️

Full vegan breakfast was just the ticket for my hangover. Washed down with a tea with oat milk. Cracking music and decor. Highly recommend this place.

Vegan Biscoff Protein Pancakes - Edit
This was my second visit to Kcal Kitchen, had previously tried the Vegan Clean Katsu Curry which was amazing so I wasn’t surprised to have enjoyed the pancakes even more. I find it really hard to get a good vegan pancake and Kcal Kitchen did not disappoint.
Read moreAlong with the Biscoff pancakes was a Sumer-ade Juice (definitely needed with the biscoff taste). The biscoff pancakes were very rich, and I struggled to finish but they were the best vegan pancakes I have tried to date. The juice was very nice as well. Will 100% come back and get again.
Due to me getting it as a takeaway, the whipped cream had melted and the sauce was sorta all over the place. So, I will be sure to eat-in next time.
Pros: Lots of vegan options , Best vegan pancakes
Cons: Expensive - some dishes pricey for what you get, Need one closer to my house

Love the macros breakdown! - Edit
I really appreciate they have your macro breakdown of every meal and smoothie. However my meal was very average. I went for salt amd chilli chick'n that was flooded in sweet chilli sauce. Don't take me wrong it wasn't bad but it's something you can easily make yourself after the night out. I will be back though to try some of their smoothies and pancakes. Also the staff was lovely and very friendly.

Nice food, great nutrition. - Edit
Really good food and great for vegan athletes - lots of protein and knowledge of nutrition! Amazing coffee milkshake but the vegan pancakes were very stodgy and dense (probably due to all the protein powder) so a savoury option would probably have been better.

Plenty of creative vegan options - Edit
Lots of clearly marked vegan options, including at the time of writing a vegan carbonara, pancakes, chickpea bowl and peanut butter chocolate pancakes. I had the carbonara which was a generous portion but under-seasoned. Sweet potato fries were tasty.
