Tricky, but Tasty - Edit
Maybe I’m just bad at directions, but I found Kitchen Omiya very difficult to find. It’s in the basement of the Dai Nagoya Building, which *is* attached to Nagoya Station, but is not *in* Nagoya Station. Once I found it, the staff were very confused when I asked if they had vegan food. The waitress had to check with the chef, then dig through several menus in the back to find the one with the vegan food offerings. She then explained that it would take them 30 minutes to make the vegan omelette, and asked if that would be okay. It was, and once it came out I was very happy with it! However, the difficulty finding and ordering from the restaurant soured my experience a little.

Yummy omelette - Edit
There's only two vegan-friendly dishes but it was delicious though. A bit expensive for the amount of food..

Good! - Edit
Two vegan options, an omelette or a curry. Tried the omelette and it was delicious! A little small, but came with a huge salad. Beautiful too. :)

Disappointing - Edit
Went here as I was with some non-vegan friends, and left disappointed.
Read moreThe omelette and the grains etc inside were flavourless. There was no sauce that the other reviews mention. Eaten together with the surrounding salad, I managed to chomp through it.
Really don’t get the high ratings for this....am I missing something? Maybe they just forgot to put that sauce in....?

Beautiful vegan omelet - Edit
Omelet without eggs. Wrap grains and vegetables such as tomatoes, broccoli, quinoa, and barley in a tomato sauce using chickpea flour.

Lovely vegan omelet - Edit
There is a vegan option which is omelet made from chick peas. This is the only meal for vegan and probably vegetarians at this place.
Read moreYou can have more than 10 different types of veges at once and taste different flavours with each leaves! That was very nice and looked quite lovely!

Beautiful and Tasty Vegan Omelette - Edit
The vegan omelette here absolutely exceeded my expectations. Not only was it delicious, but it was beautifully prepared, and came with ample greens surrounding it. It tasted nutritious with the right amount of flavor. I believe it is made with chickpeas/garbanzo beans, which gives it the eggy texture without tasting too eggy. Considering that vegan omelettes are a rarity in Japan, I consider this quite the hidden gem.
