Modern Japanese dining with great vegan options

Koji is a beautifully designed, modern, and elegant restaurant in Munich. There are also seats outside, and the large windows can be fully opened, which gives the space a great atmosphere. The menu focuses on Japanese-inspired, upscale dishes. The standard menu is fully vegetarian, and most dishes can be made vegan, although unfortunately they are not clearly labeled.

The staff was very friendly and attentive, always willing to help with vegan options. There was also a weekly menu with fish, which felt a bit inconsistent with the otherwise vegetarian focus. One highlight is the Omakase experience, where the chef brings out a surprise menu that is perfect for sharing. There is no fixed number of courses, and you can decide how much you’d like to eat — every dish is simply charged according to the menu. It was a unique and fun way of dining.

Everything tasted excellent, and the presentation was beautiful. Prices are on the higher side, but overall it was a very enjoyable experience.
