Cozy and classy, yet unpretentious plant-based restaurant on the first floor of a historic building in the city center of Lisbon. Rated #1 Best Vegan Restaurant in Europe by VegClubMagazine in 2024. Kitchen is run by renowned Chef Ricardo Vitali. Serves mainly traditional Portuguese food. Everything is house-made, including breads, "cheeses" and ice-creams. Gluten-free options and children's playground are available. Companion animal friendly. Open Mon-Thu 12:00-23:00, Fri-Sat 12:00-23:30, Sun 12:00-23:00. Closed Sun.

The croquettes, white housewine, and nutella cake were all fantastic and reasonably priced. The servers were super nice as well and with the location having an upstairs is also great.

I anticipated a good experience at this restaurant, given its top ranking on HappyCow for Lisbon and all the amazing reviews. I opted for the "Polvo à Feliz a Rageleiro," while my friend ordered the "Bitoque." Both dishes were major disappointments. The leafy greens lacked freshness, seemed to be frozen rather than fresh, and the excessive oiliness overwhelmed any discernible taste, making the meal disappointingly bland and also hard to chew. Unfortunately, my friend expressed the same about his dish. This establishment failed to live up to its hype, and I find it unlikely that I would consider returning.

A must try place if you like Portuguese traditional food but made completely vegan. We had Francesinhas as main dishes and shared brusceta as a starter. The portions were very filling - i was not able to finish my main dish. The mango lassi drink was very delicious. The service was quick and kind. Recommend this place!

Typical Portuguese cuisine made vegan - Fantastic - Edit
I invited a good friend for his birthday to Kongs. First as he had recognised that everything is fully vegan, he wasn´t really happy but with the food and the wine his smile went back on his face as it was the best vegan food he ever had, to say it with his words.
Read moreFor me it was fantastic as I am missing a few dishes like the Polvo a Lagareiro and it is truly not the same like an octopus but it is very near to the original and so [censored] tasty.
Also they have their own filtered water in their own glas bottles which is very sustainable and the starters cauliflower wings and bruschetta were both nice.
Finally the biologic wine they serve is also very tasty, therefore my fully recommendation.

I had the fried ‘fish’ with rice and beans and a little bruschetta with aubergine. The fried ‘fish’ with rice and beans was so delicious! Pretty simple flavours but it really worked for me. The bruschetta was very good too, the green spinach bread was interesting.
