Peanut butter choc royale cake - Edit
Had 3 vegan options on offer when we visited - peanut butter choc royale (cake), apple and pecan crumble (cake) and nutty nut (cookie).
Read moreWe bought the cakes and the peanut butter choc royale was absolutely delicious. The apple and pecan crumble was average.
Pros: Clearly labelled vegan

It was so so delicious, some of the most tasty sweet vegan things I have ever tasted. Definitely worth the calories!

Phenomenal - Edit
I had the pistachio kurtosh with Nutella, and it was totally vegan and delicious. Note that it is shareable size. I also love the adorable setting under the shade in this area, so don’t hesitate to go there for a cup of coffee and a pastry.

Inedible - Edit
We tried the cinnamon kurtosh and it was awful. Was like eating cardboard. It wasn't fresh or warm at all. It was hard and cold. I also got a chai with no honey and with soy milk, it was also disgusting. They didn't use a different sweetener so I just put sugar in but still it wasn't good, tasted like bitter cloves, nothing else. I couldn't finish either items because they were so bad.

Always yummy - Edit
Great treat, but prepare for a bit of a wait as they prepare them fresh which always takes about 10-15 minutes.

Great bakery in darling square - Edit
They make good coffees and often have vegan cakes available - like today! Chocolate poppy seed. The Kurtosh is also good, though can sometimes be a bit dry.

Cons: They don’t always have vegan cakes available

Vegan Kürtősh - Edit
Excellent vegan Kürtősh with all sorts of different toppings!
Read moreWe arrived at the bakery and looked around but there was no Kürtősh to be seen. But after talking to the staff, we found out that they only make it after you order. We got the pistachio Kürtősh and it came hot and steaming! It was really delicious and slightly reminded me of the scent and taste of Bulgarian Easter bread (which is not vegan in anyway and I haven't had it in over 20 years!). But I do think that it's probably better to order a cinnamon one because the pistachios kept falling and we ended up with a plate full of chopped pistachios.
