Geek and player bar with wonderful vegan options

Paris's benchmark bar and restaurant for board game geeks, @dernierbaravantlafindumonde also offers great vegan dishes and desserts!
A sandwich, a 42 cm hot dish that overflows the plate, a brusheta, falafels and onigiris! And a great vegan apple cake!
With a very geeky decor, we're having a great time with friends, with wifi in the basement!!!!
And the service is very pleasant and above all very fast despite the crowd, that's a point to underline!

Pros: Welcome, fast service, Original vegan options and décoration

It’s more about the place than the food

This is one of my favorite pub, you can play board games for free with a nice selection of cocktail made out of pop culture.
Dont go there for food however, the 42cm is awesome but the rest is boring. It’s a pub, so food is more for snacking than real meal.

Pros: Nice choice of board games , Wonderful atmosphere and drinks, Le 42 cm vegan 🤤

Cons: Beside the 42cm the other vegan option are boring

Cute place

Friendly service, interesting vegan options. The huge hotdog is just a veggie dog (good) with ketchup and loads of vegan cheese (not so good). For hard-core lovers of vegan cheese only. The vegan Banh Zuul, on the other hand, is simply amazing, a perfect combo of flavors. My 6yo meat-eating niece ended up eating half of my sandwich since she loved it so much😄

Geeky but disappointing

Our food was only okay. We had some kind of hot dogs and a baked potato. The vegan sausage was tough and the rest of the hot dog was some salad with dressing. The potato was served with a far too liquid sour cream.
The drinks were quite expensive.
The staff was nice and friendly. The location was geeky and cool but a bit chilly.
I would not really go there again.

Pros: Cool location

Cons: No good value for money , Expensive drinks, Food only okay

Bar très cool

Ambiance cool et geek.
J'y ai goûté le dessert au chocolat vegan avec un capuccino au lait de soja ( je comprends )
C'est top de trouver des alternatives un peu partout.
Merci

Love it.

Amazing geek themed decor and a lovely vibrant location. Staff were all very friendly and there were plenty of vegan (and non-vegan) options too. Had a delicious meal and the tofu was really good. Brilliant range of cocktails and love the quirky names on the menu. Very generous portions too!

Pros: Generous portions., Lots of options., Amazing decor.

Cons: Can be quite loud.

huge portions

When I first came here a year and a half ago I was shocked by the size of my vegan hotdog. When I got it again it was even bigger than I remember!

My Favourite Vegan place in Paris

I knew about this place before we even hit Paris.....being both a Vegan and a Geek, it was sort of a must stop place for me.
Turns out, we loved it so much we went there a few times on our stay.
Not far from Chatelet Metro, its a cozy space with a really cool vibe. The staff are lovely (one even took us on a tour of the basement even tho it was closed) and really helpful....even when I questioned them about the vegan cheese tasting like dairy, they bought out the packaging for me to ease my freak out!!(it doesn't taste like that in Australia!!)
The beer is cold, and has a great selection, and the food, of course, is to die for.....good pub food Vegan style.
Put this on your "Must Do" list while you are in Paris :)

Not a life-changing food experience - but a great place

The geeky atmosphere is something that makes you feel at home at once, together with the quick and friendly service. The menu offers a fair choice of vegetarian foods - a couple of salads, nachos, two mezze dishes made for sharing, a huge vegan hot-dog, and quite a few vegan desserts. We had the nachos, the "Dagon's Feast" vegan dish (a must-eat for all Lovecraft geeks out there) and some Lebanese bread: the portions were more than satisfactory, but I have to admit the bread could have tasted better (but in all honesty it was past 9 pm so I couldn't expect an out-of-the-oven experience) and the mezze were good but not incredibly tasty. However, kudos to the owners for offering such a choice, which is almost never the case in non-veg* restaurants in Paris.

Pros: Fair choice of veg* options, Friendly service, Close to Les Halles

Huge veggie dog

Wow. I'm don't know the metric system so well. I knew 42 cm had to be big. But a 1 1/2 foot long veggie dog. It was pretty tasty. Could have used more condiments.
Service was excellent. Quick and attentive even though they were packed.

Pros: Good value, Friendly staff, fun bar atmosphere

Cons: limited veg options

Good place, a bit expensive for what you get

Going there a lot about once a month, even rented one of the rooms for my birthday 3 years ago (organization was a bit difficult then, I asked for a veggie option and they forgot, had to ask again when I was there and they made do with a few veggie onigiri but there was not enough food.. but it was the beginning, now in 2016 they are better prepared for veggie options). This place is always busy so go there during the day if you don't like too much noise. The geek references and ambiance is just great, you can play with board games for free. Veggie options are nice, a bit pricey for what you get though (hotdogs, potatoes and stuff so not healthy). Service is sometimes the best, sometimes the worst, waiter and barmans are changing all the time so beware.

Pros: Veggie options, The geek ambiance, Free board games

Cons: Service , Crowded, Not healthy

Vegan Geek Heaven

as a geek and a vegan, I was blown away by this place. Went there with my vegan geek girlfriend and we weren't dissapointed. Fun cocktails, supernice themed place (firefly references on the toilets?awesome!). I had a 42cm vegan hotdog with vegan cheese. It was huge but very good. My gf had a vegan burrito called El Mariachi. Both were delicious. While waiting for the food (which didn't take long) we enjoyed some short boardgames that were free to use. If you're a geek and veggie/vegan/carnivore, it's worth checking out! It can be a bit busy, though.

Also! It had a very informative list for all the food alllergies on the menu!
