Tasty but temporary vegan Jewish cuisine

Went here for a vegan meetup. I guess this is a possibly temporary establishment/pop-up and might be replaced at some point? But for now it's got Jewish vegan cuisine. I got the carrot lox and two pieces of rugelach, although you'll have to take my word for it about the rugelach and that there were two bagel halves because I ate it before I remembered to take pictures. It's a decent vibe place too, cafe atmosphere.

Only major complaint (other than that it might be going away) is that it's not kosher certified. Neither are the regular Mamaleh's which I also find weird, and this one especially since it's not like they use dairy or meat...?

Just what I needed

We got carrot lox bagel sandwiches here and were pretty well pleased. They asked if we wanted them toasted—I asked what they recommended, and they said the bagels were fresh and didn’t need it, so we got them as is. Great choice! My partner said they could use more shmear, but they were pretty generous with the lox and capers so I was happy. I will definitely come here again if they’re still around when I’m back in Cambridge.

Pros: Vegan lox!

Amazing sandwiches

TL;DR - get the short rib sandwich.

I've been 3 times in the last 3 months. First two times, I got the Corn'd Beef Reuben, which was solidly good but not super amazing. Last time, I got the Short Rib, and it was incredible, like almost scary-close to the meat version. The "meat" was tender and flavorful, but the sauce and the pickled tomato plus the vegan challah really put it over the top. Highly recommend checking this place out before it closes. It's a bit expensive but totally worth it.

Pros: Amazing food

Cons: A little expensive

Super :)

Everything is great, the kind guy serving me, the food and the inside of the restaurant is so cozy, comfy and charming. I felt a little like when I was eating at grandma's home😉I really hope they stay forever than only until October...

Authentic LOADED deli sandwiches

The bagel meals are on soft delicious challah buns and the deli sandwiches are super packed. Really nice. But on the pricey side for some things

Absolutely phenomenal deli sandwiches!

I really hope Mamaleh's Kibitz Corner is here to stay. Everything we ordered was 🔥🔥🔥. Every component well thought and prepared.

-Mushroom Breakfast Sandwich: delicious bun, with a really nice herbed butter spread. Perfectly cooked mushrooms, egg and melt violife cheese. One of the best breakfast sandwiches I have had in a while.
-Lime Rickey: So refreshing and not overly sweet
-Pickle plate: We absolutely love pickles and these were amazing! Loved the unique spice and hint of heat from the pickled tomato♡
-Latkes: Looked a little dark, a bit greasy but tasted absolutely delicious! Loved the pairing with apple sauce and Violife sour cream.
-Mushroom Ruben: Delicious with the mushrooms, dressing, sauerkraut😋
-Unreal Corn Beef Sandwich: My favorite of the two sandwiches. Unreal Corned Beef 🔥🔥🔥 and with the cole slaw.

Pros: Delicious vegan sandwiches, Kosher

Cons: City street parking

Go now, before it’s gone

This is a pop up inside a lovely space. We were very happy to have something new to try while working in Cambridge, and everything we ordered was delicious and reasonably priced. It was hard not to order the whole menu.

Go before it closes on July 31 and tell them you hope they’ll open a permanent vegan spot! It’s hard to find breakfast in the area (Veggie Galaxy can get old) and this is just what Cambridge needs.

Pros: Comforting classics, Nice spot, Good prices

Cons: Temporary pop up - it’ll be gone soon

I was also there yesterday and asked the staff for an update. They said they now expect to be open at least until the end of August, and hopefully a full three extra months. (I submitted an update to HappyCow yesterday)

As tasty as everyone says

I ordered takeout from here based on the excellent reviews on this and other apps/sites. It was as good as everyone said. I got the Reuben with sauerkraut, a side of latkes, and at the recommendation of several reviewers also a chocolate rugelah. It was all delicious. At lunchtime on Friday they had already sold out of fresh challah and only had frozen ones they were defrosting, so if you want fresh be sure to go early on Fridays.

Pros: Delicious vegan Jewish deli food , Friendly service , All vegan

Epic to the max

Jewish style deli food and all vegan!? Is this real life!? Epic concept and a cool space with so many options to choose from. We started with the just egg with corn beef and just egg with mushrooms breaky sandos. We also had the chicken schnitzel sandwich. Ruggaleh to top it off. Everything was top notch and well portioned. It was so much fun to enjoy vegan breakfast in a deli style offering. Vegan challah rolls!? Oh hell yeah!

The owner was at the register and we had a lovely convo about his inspiration to create a vegan version of a Jewish style and how he was going to trial it as a pop up alternative to his full scale (and not vegan) Mamalehs, but it seems it may be sticking around because it’s been so popular (please stay around forever!!). The space is really nice and has a retro deli vibe (reminds me of NYC for sure) and has a full bar and event space for all of your happy vegan moments! Can’t wait to go back, likely to be a weekly occurrence.

Great new spot

Excellent little corner shop with plenty of upstairs seating. Everything I’ve tried (lox bagel, egg and cheese, challah, Reuben, matzo ball soup) have been excellent. Their bread and bagels are really big stand outs here. Downsides though would be it’s a little on the pricier side (most things around $13) and only open for breakfast and lunch.

Kosher cravings

So, I am not Jewish, but I do appreciate a good Jewish deli and often long for the pile high reubens or chicken liver pate of my past. This hit the mark for a vegan craving 100%. We ordered on our way into Cambridge as a quick pickup moving onto another job. The reuben was legit and the mock chicken liver rivals mine (I'm really good at that one), so hit them up as it is a temporary I believe location hopefully to become permanent!!! A much needed break from the norm.

Do Not Miss

From the Mamlehs family, Vincent’s has been turned into an event and test kitchen space. For the time being, it is a fully vegan menu!!! Everything is delicious. I enjoyed the Ruben on a toasted everything with a seeded rye manhattan. Family had the Chick’n schnitzel and smoked mushroom egg and cheese challah. We shared the latkes and took the chocolate cake to go. Will be back next weekend!

Pros: All vegan, Delicious, Local

Cons: My MIL felt cold 🤷‍♀️, MIL’s BloodyMary made her forget words bloodymary!
