Cantine vibes

Food was ok, but not everything was labelled so that finding the vegan options on the menu was a bit of guesswork. The food tasted ok but not great. It reminded me of the cantine during university, but with more options. The seating is in a windowless area lit with artificial lights at all times. It felt a bit depressing to me.

Pros: Fully vegetarian

Cons: Not everything labelled, Seating in a windowless room

Good, but could have more vegan food

Vegan salad buffet is good. The labelling is sometimes wrong (I've seen honey and eggs in "vegan" products) - so maybe check twice. Could have more vegan food at the hot bar. Prices are fine.

Nice buffet

A good range of items in the buffet. At least 50% of it vegan. Really nice food and a good atmosphere. #Veganuaryj

Nice place for a lunch break

I was suprised how huge the restaurant is. The front part has nicer interior with large windows, the back part, where the buffet is, is darker and more canteen style.
You pay per weight and I didn‘t find it expensive with 8€ for a regular plate. The salad choice is huge but warm vegan options are limited. I found everything delicious though.
The cake was very yummy but pricey with 4,20€. The vegan cake options were even more limited - I would come again though as it was good value for money for me overall.

Pros: Self service

Cons: Could offer more vegan food

wrongly labeled vegan dishes

The food itself is fine. It‘s a buffet style restaurant and you pay per weight. The whole restaurant is vegetarian but vegan options are labeled. The problem is that more often then not it’s wrong. I‘ve seen dishes labeled as vegan that contain milk or cheese. I‘m not sure why but almost every dish with honey is also labeled as vegan. If you are aware of that it‘s not that big if a deal as they have all the ingredients listed as well. But reading every single ingredient for every single dish takes forever and kind of defies the vegan labeling system all together. So if you come here just be aware to not trust the small vegan symbol.

Pros: big salad buffet, lists all ingredients

Cons: wrongly labeled vegan options

Ok

Huge salad bar, but not so many vegan options at the main dishes. Also its not that cheap, therefore i prefer ginko. (Also the pattys are with eggs and so on)

Pros: Huge salad bar

Cons: Expensive, Few vegan options

Veggie cantine

huge choice of salads and vegetarian dishes, vegan options available. I like that they always state what's in the dish. However, it is a self service restaurant and the atmosphere not too nice. but it's a good place to go for a quick lunch break

good offer

Large salad buffet, 5 different vegan hot options available at buffet. Everything is very fresh. at least vegan hot buffet items are marked with a green sticker. Overall nice place - worth to visit - but indeed a little pricy

great salad buffet, good variety of food choices

I ate there twice last week. The place is huge and friendly, peaceful. As a vegan I could enjoy a great variety of salads. The warm buffet had several dishes with egg/milk, but I still had the choice of several vegetables and rice/quinoa.
It seemed a little pricey for a self service place, but since there is such a great variety it's probably fair.

Pros: many choices, free wifi, lots of tables

Very stylish, big buffet

As a vegan I was unfortunately not able to eat everything but a big plus has been the salad buffet! :) I had a big plate of different kinds and it tasted really good :) The restaurant is also very stylish and was very comfortable too.

Pros: Big choice of food, fair price, comfortable and stylish

Cons: More vegetarian options than vegan ones

Very good salad buffet

I love varied salad buffets and I loved Mangolds. There was excellent selection of vegan options in the salad buffet and I liked the tastes.

But if you want to have vegan warm foods, then there is not much anything. So then go somewhere else.

I had a very full plate of salads and it costed about 10 euros, so the price is not bad. Don´t worry about having to weight your plate because it can´t cost more than 15 euros.

Pros: wide variety of vegan salads, fresh and tasty salads, easy to dine alone, cafeteria-style

Cons: no tofu or seitan in the salad buffet, warm foods are not for vegans, atmosphere is not for a cozy night out

Average

I used to go there when i was still vegetarian, now as a vegan, there's not a lot to eat anymore, because nearly everything contains milk and/or eggs.

The choice of salads is great and they taste very good.
Normal food tastes quite boring and often is too dry, so you need a lot of sauces.

You pay by weight, so watch out for not paying too much.

The ambiente is okay, nothing i would stay in for longer time.

Pros: Central location, Salad bar

Cons: Boring and dry food, Ambiente, Unpersonal

NOT vegan-friendly

Everything at the warm buffet contained eggs and/or cheese, so I was once more stuck with the salad bar. It was good, but seriously, I was really hungry, and how often have we had to hear "hey, you can always get a salad"...!

Pros: nice salad bar, good location

Cons: warm foods not vegan, sterile atmosphere, beggars come inside and bother guests

Not recommended

After a wonderful dinner by Ginko, we thought we try the other vegetarian restaurant in Graz. Quite disappointing. It is like a canteen, food is boring, the only vegan food beside the vinegar taste salats was warm garnish.

Cons: Salats taste like vinegar, Very few vegan, Staff is not friendly

hm...

When I stopped by salad buffet, kind of "egg curry" looked bait awkward, and unfriendly staff refilling salads ignoring customers.
Food on the first sight looked typical styrian, but for smoebody who resides in Graz- BORING!And highly unfriendly for vegans because if there is no milk there are eggs or in most of the casas both :-(
Also cappucino was highly watered (on the register there was a girl that did not knew even a simple syntagm on english like takeaway-but I had to explain with hands-irritating)
Not even one cake without eggs.
Hope they'll improve

Pros: near Kunsthaus

Cons: vegan unfriendly, bad coffee, unfriendly staff
