Delicious food, fab service - Edit
Great to see a separate vegan menu. I tried lots of different items (chickpea dopiaza, falafel, mushrooms schwarma, chips and hummus, disco cauliflower). All really tasty (particularly the disco cauliflower which was off the scale). Waiter was super friendly and helpful.

Gorgeous Food, Plenty of Choice! - Edit
I had a wonderful time at Maray. There was a full and separate Vegan Menu, and their Lunch Menu primarily consisted of vegan options. There were so many interesting dishes to choose from that I struggled to make a decision!
Read moreI ordered off their lunch deal menu and had the Cauliflower Bhajis as a Meze dish, which is served in a flavourful red pepper dip, and I had the Spiced Lentil and Rice Mejadara and Falafel as my small plate options. The lentil and rice dish was excellent, but the falafel dish was not to my taste, which is a shame as falafel is one of my favourite foods. We ordered the fries dish for the table, which is served with hummus and zhug, and they were cooked to perfection.
Maray has four locations in the UK, and if you are a vegan who enjoys small plates style dining, and middle Eastern cuisine, you will not be disappointed. Additionally, I really appreciated how they emphasised the vegan options on the menu, and I was pleased to see they are running a half-price offer on vegan and vegetarian dishes throughout January! #Veganuary
Pros: Many Vegan Options, Lovely Food, Vegan Options Labelled
Cons: Small Plates Do Not Arrive Together, Small Eating Space

Great restaurant - Edit
This was recommended for a meal out with omnis, a coeliac and me (vegan). We all had an amazing time. We got a couple of the legendary disco cauliflower which I loved. My other joint favourite was the fattoush. Delicious. The waiting staff were fantastic, really friendly and created a lovely atmosphere for a night out. I xan't wait to go again.

Ok - Edit
Staff were lovely, food had good intentions but tomatoes were underripe, bean dish was fizzy which I'm not sure was intentional, rice dish had raisins and chilli oil missing and olives were way too salty to eat. I can see how this place would be great on a good day.
Read morePros: Attentive staff, Easy to pay, Good with allergies

Best place in the uk - Edit
This is my absolute favourite restaurant in the entirety of the uk. Could easily eat here multiple times a week and do. Before I started eating here I wouldn’t eat half the veg on the menu now I crave it! Highly recommend the disco cauli, falls apart, so tender and covered in tasty sauces. Also recommend the falafel sharer, fattoush salad, carrots, chips, hummus, basically everything. Gutted I can’t leave a 5 star review especially given as most of the vegan eateries in Liverpool have closed down because it’s not sustainable in the current climate. Also that have 50% off all veg and vegan in jan. #Veganuary

Maray has always been my favourite place to eat and the place I take any of my friends who come to visit. Falafel sharer is to die for and the legendary disco cauliflower is unbeatable. Everything on the (separate!) vegan menu is sensational and I love it all so

Probably the best vegan food I've eaten. - Edit
Visited on a busy Saturday in mid-Jan. It's not a huge place, so tables are fairly tightly packed. Our party of 4 ordered a selection of small plates to share (pretty much the whole vegan menu, plus baked halloumi). Really delicious. The only item I wouldn't order again was the aubergine dish: I adore aubergine and this didn't do it justice. Otherwise really loved the tasty and creative collection of dishes.

This is always our ‘go to’ restaurant when we are visiting Liverpool. Separate vegan menu. The food is amazing, the cocktails are too and I love the atmosphere of the place. The staff are lovely and we’ve celebrated birthdays and anniversaries here. Honestly can’t fault it.

Can't be beaten in terms of options, quality, presentation and taste of food. Menu changes fairly often too so no chance of getting bored. Roasted cauliflower is the best thing I've eaten. Super helpful and knowledgeable staff. Fantastic drinks selection. Would give 5 stars if the rating system would allow!

The food here is art. Maray have tons of vegan options. They blend unusual flavours that you wouldn’t normally think would go together into amazing ‘fine dining.’ A little on the expensive side, but the food is truly amazing so go when you want to splurge. Lovely vegan desserts too.

This place is great. Staff were friendly and helpful (particularly Adam). They’ve got a separate vegan menu and the food was delicious. The falafels were lovely. I’d highly recommend it. It’s a small place so you need to book in advance.

Just lovely - Edit
Stopped off here during a quick visit to Liverpool ! Had the aubergine dish as well as the cauliflower one and the chips! Was all delicious and the cocktail !! Beautifully balanced and not too badly priced 😃 However just a quick sidenote, the benches are incredibly uncomfortable - could barely squeeze on and I'm a pretty small person! I was also given broccoli instead of cauliflower with no heads up given (I don't mind at all though)! Still lovely and would definitely come again! 😎

Brilliant Vegan Choices - Edit
Maray serves eclectic and seasonal food, concentrating on sharing plates, with an excellent vegan menu offered. I contacted Maray, prior to our visit, asking which wines were vegan and was delighted to find that they are in the process of labelling vegan friendly wines on the list.
Read moreWe kicked off with Nocellara olives with chilli, orange and sea salt. I love the unusual combinations, the chefs have created, which work so well, so the first dish was sprouts, medjool dates, lime and sesame. delicious. Next was salt baked beets, with orange and endive, a light refreshing dish.
This was followed by tenderstem broccoli, dukkah and tahini, another fabulous dish. My husband ordered artichoke, miso, coconut and pickles, as he loves artichoke and he loved it. Our two final dishes, were two of the best, half a cauliflower, flaked almonds, pomegranate, tahini and fresh herbs, what a mega dish, the humble cauliflower elevated to a dish of total deliciousness. Finally fries with houmous and green chilli sauce, not for the faint hearted, as the chillies really packed a punch, but we could easily have polished off two portions, they were that good.
A small break, whilst we finished our wine and then it was impossible to resist the carrot and cardamon baklava served with coconut cream. An inventive dessert and a far cry from boring sorbet offered, in so many places, it was not dense or too sticky, like most baklava and the coconut cream set it off perfectly.
I highly recommend Maray for vegans and interestingly enough, the reason for the vegan menu, is due to the demand from their customers, so great to see the guys at Maray listening to customer feedback.
