Nice lunch - Edit
Arrived around 13:30, waited about 15 minutes to be seated.
Read moreHave cute ceramic mugs for sale.
Acai bowl without granola is vegan, didnt ask about anything else. It was great. Cold, refreshing. With banana, blueberries, passionfruit, strawberries, a little chia seeds.
Golden latte - almond milk, turmeric, cinnamon. Very good.
Quinoa salad, vegetarian, can get without cheese to make it vegan I think. My brother enjoyed it very much. Would have been better with more dressing.
Our dad loved the bread. Dont know if its vegan.
Pros: Food came out fast, Decent prices
Cons: Not labeled vegan on the menu

Awful - Edit
I was so disappointed!!! I’ve been here four or five times. I’m vegan but I always take my non-vegan friends here, and people visiting from out of town. But I won’t be back. In the past the servers have been super accommodating and nice, this time I got the eye roll, and a really bad attitude when I asked for vegan options. I know that they only have 2-3 vegan options on the menu but this time I was told they don’t have any vegan options. With an added eye roll, I was informed they could make 2 items without the cheese. One pasta and one quinoa salad. This is the third time I had the quinoa salad and it was awful. Again, super disappointed. And unfortunately, for the prices they charge it should be a lot better. A bed of lettuce, lots of it brown and bad, three cherry tomato halves (so 1.5 cherry tomatoes total), and one teeny (puequeninino) slice of avocado. Almost no dressing. Seriously there was only 1 drop of balsamic on one leaf of arugula. Oh, and some quinoa. The whole thing probably cost three euros to make and they charge €14. The avocado toast is under €10 and has actual avocado on it. If you have to come here get that. Regardless, even if the food is bad, I don’t expect a side of judgmental attitude with my meal. I’m not hurting anyone by being vegan and I don’t need to be treated as though I am. I’ve been a server for many years, and I never treated a customer like this. Time to find a new and better restaurant in this area. Do yourself a favor, and don’t eat here! Especially if you’re vegan!!

Thought it was fully vegan... - Edit
...based on the previous reviewers and my settings on here but I enjoyed it thoroughly. They no longer do the cocoa bowl. Be sure to state vegan when ordering as not explicit on menu

Nice food, nothing special for vegans - Edit
Many vegetarian options, but no clearly marked vegan options. The staff is helpful but very busy. The restaurant is very popular so you might have to wait a while.

Good café with vegan options - Edit
I had the tomato avocado toast and some mushrooms on the side, as well as a cappuccino with oatmilk.
Read moreThe food was very good. The cappuccino was good as well, but somehow every coffee i had in Portugal was very watery.. so maybe thats just how coffee is here 😁
Pros: gluten free on request, Good vegan choices

My favourite breakfast/brunch spot in central Porto. The mushroom toast is yum. Friendly and efficient service, everyone spoke very good English. Dog friendly.

Good Brunch Spot in Tourist Heart - Edit
Traditional Porto café that also serves lunch and alcohol.
Read moreMercador offers varied vegan options for brunch: acai bowls, smoothies, and a few 'special toasts'. Vegan options aren't marked on the menu but staff are happy to explain.
The mushroom special toast is vegan on request (oil, no butter) and is a garlicky, truffle mushroom loaded toast. They also have an avocado toast for brunch too. Good juice and smoothie options, almond milk for coffee is 50c extra.
Place can get busy, even on a weekday morning, but the queue outside moves fast. Staff are rushing about but friendly if you've queries.
Cash only and be aware that the ATMs on the street all charge for withdrawals.
Pros: Good location , Nice atmosphere
Cons: Few vegan options , Busy
