Finally got to try bahn xeo! - Edit
This place has lots of clearly marked vegan options, including a vegan version of the famous Vietnamese rice pancake, stuffed with tofu and mushrooms. It's served with rice noodles, fresh veggies and herbs, and a pack of rice paper, and the server shows you how to make your own rolls.

delicious and tonnes of options - Edit
the food was delicious, and it was lovely to have so many options as a vegan! went back two nights in a row, had tofu with aubergine and fresh noodles the first time and tofu with lotus root the second time. the water morning glory with garlic was also delicious. a very good option for my family, as there are people who want meat with every meal but we were all happy and satisfied eating here.

OMG so good - Edit
I had the bun Cha and spring rolls. The sauce that the rolls came with was out of this world. The staff were also really nice and explained to me how to eat the bun Cha. Would love to go again and try more food!

Amazing banh xeo - Edit
Maybe we got lucky but I thought the banh xeo (vegan pancake) was fantastic! So flavorsome and a good amount of herbs and the sauce was delicious. The staff were super friendly and offered to teach us how to roll them up in the rice paper. We also had the sweet and sour tofu which was nice. The food comes out quite quickly and there is extra seating up stairs.

A page full of vegan menu at MET left us delighted. Absolutely love how they prepare the food with lots of Greens and Tofu. The meal there was so satisfying!😋

Nice place with a vegetarian/ vegan meny - Edit
A bit too touristy type of place but the food was nice and the staff willing to help you if you’ve got allergies/ are vegan. I was excited to try the Bành xéo, but it was not gluten free. Really good fresh spring rolls!! #Veganuary

Average quality, but central. - Edit
Unfortunately I don’t agree with the incredibly high ratings on Google and here. Fyi: there are 4-5 METs in Hanoi, all with the same menu. I love that this place offers vegan options next to the regular Vietnamese fare. I also enjoyed the service of Alex, who was friendly and quick. Unfortunately, I didn’t love the food. I ordered the vegan banh xeo aka Vietnamese pancake. It came out within 2 minutes, which was a bit too fast for it to be fresh. Unfortunately this was true - it arrived at my table cold and hard. The pancake itself was crunchy, like a taco shell, the filling was cold. The salad and herbs that come with it were nice and fresh though, the sauce was nice as well. It seems that certain foods get pre-made at the beginning of a shift and simply served whenever necessary, not made fresh to order. This provides fast service but makes the quality and taste suffer.

Best Omni Eatery with Unique Veg*n Options; 5 Outlets - Edit
Omni eatery with 2 pages of vegetarian options in the menu (contains alliums by default). My companions praised their meat dishes while I enjoyed my vegan dishes as well! In particular, the Vegetarian Bun Cha Hanoi (grilled 'pork) and Banh Tom HoTay (crispy 'shrimp' pastry) were more unique dishes that I didn't see being offered in the vegetarian menu at other omni eateries. The staff could speak English fluently (shout-out to Hubert for the great service!), so I believe it may be possible to check with them on different dietary preferences such as customising allium-free dishes. There are 5 outlets across Hanoi Old Quarters, all sharing the same menu. Would highly recommend this chain of restaurants for those looking for eateries that can satisfy both omni and veg*n companions.

Delicious food, very popular - Edit
There are several Met restaurants in Hanoi‘s old quarter. We went to the one specified here on HappyCow twice because it was so close to our hotel.
Read moreOn our first visit we shared a vegan pancake and the vegan spring rolls three ways. Both dishes tasted very well and we loved the pancake so much that we returned for it on our last day in Hanoi. It is delicious and the staff explain to you how to eat it (you make your own rolls of rice paper, pancake, rice noodles and herbs).
The restaurant is very popular, so the atmosphere can be a bit stressed. On our second visit, we first had to wait for a table and then waited for about 45 minutes for our pancakes. The staff looked stressed and rushed and it was quite loud with people coming and leaving all the time. So my advise is to visit outside of peak times in order to be able to enjoy a more peaceful meal.
The pancake and the spring rolls are the only vegan dishes on the menu apart from a vegetable soup, but there are many more vegetarian ones that might be veganized according to other reviews. We did not try that, though.
