I LOVE this place - Edit
Very inventive, very generous portions, VERY DELICIOUS. Pricey, but it’d have to be! Drinks are super yummy too. And you must get a chocolatey fudgey brownie—they are gluten free!

Best vegan restaurant in Portland - Edit
Went with really low expectations and was really surprised how good the food was. Ordered the La chimi and the oxacan old fashioned.
Read moreI’m guessing they make their own seitan which had amazing taste and texture. Loved the gooey cheese, which also tasted house made.
Loved!!! Wound happily return to try more if the menu and to support them

My tacos…? My high heels… ohhh… doh! - Edit
Went to this restaurant between shifts and wanted to grab something to eat quickly… I ordered their Quesadilla Asada, and waited twenty minutes. I was expecting my order to be quicker, but I found out that this isn’t anything like Baja Fresh. This is an actual Mexican restaurant, vegan style. Everything on the menu looks good and the quesadilla wasn’t bad. I simply wish I had sit down and enjoy my meal. I’ll have to come back for their nachos. Definitely worth the trip.

Eat more tacos - Edit
Tacos were great. Empanadas were okay and a bit greasy. Rice was really good. Not sure what type of beans were used for the refried beans. They were lacking the typical refried bean flavor. I would go back for tacos!

Funky, Fun - Edit
Good tacos, burrito a bit too salty. Decent, but I was comparing it to The Best, Gracias Madre, in L.A. Didn't quite reach that standard.

Underwhelming - Edit
I ordered the Cali and it was bland. Even the hot sauce that the server offered but never bought that I had to borrow off another table didn’t help. We queued for 30 min to order at this place on a Thursday night and then waited 45min for our food. Not sure why places like this expect you to tip when you have to order at the counter, get your own water and bus your own table. They should pay us for doing their job.

Good burritos - Edit
We’ve heard good things about Mis Tacones and decided to try a few things while we’re in town. We got an Asada burrito, Elote empanada, Asada taco and Tres Hermanas taco, and a burrito bowl with Pollo. The tortillas here are so good! IMO not all the fillings were that flavorful. The Tres Hermanas and Elote were fine but definitely needed salsa or hot sauce. The asada and pollo were both very good. If I came back I would probably get the Asada.

Don’t eat in the car - Edit
We were passing through Portland on a ~7 hour road trip with a pup and needed an “easy” bite to eat in the truck. This was not it - we tore into our burritos, tacos, and empanadas like crazy people with seitan flying everywhere. Flavors were amazing, loved the homemade taco shells, and the fried burrito was a fun surprise. Our hometown doesn’t have many quality Mexican food available to us, so this was a treat!
Read moreI wish we could’ve enjoyed the atmosphere and enjoyed the food we ordered instead of inhaling everything.
Pros: Convenient order online, Tasty seitan

Did not disappoint - Edit
I was craving Mexican food. And good Mexican food which is not easy to find in the vegan world. We got the chilicarlos, asada taco, pollo taco, and papas & soyrizo empanada and elote empanada. The tacos were soooo good. My papas and soyrizo was fire too. The chilicarlos was good but I’m not a big fake cheese person so I chose not to eat those parts. Still good! Definitely a vegan restaurant to try.

Everything here is delicious! Homemade corn tortillas, vegan meats, cotija queso fresco, micheladas, margaritas, etc… favorites are the empanadas, cali B burrito, breakfast burrito, and nachos. Bonus they are queer BIPOC-owned and give back to the community (trans POC eat free and you can pay it forward to that fund)

Best Tacos! - Edit
We tried four of the tacos, Asada, Al Pastor, Frijoles, and Tres Hermanas. Al Pastor is the best taco ever! Sauces are hot! Also got the Elote Empanada to go, also delicious. Wish the fake meat was more of an add on for some items, as the one of us who won’t eat it would have loved to try nachos and others. Margaritas and Rumchata yummy!

Head Over Heels - Edit
The Asada taco includes seitan, pico de gallo, and chipotle cashew crema on a tortilla. The Al Pastor taco includes seitan, cebolla curtida, and garlic cashew crema on a tortilla. The Papas con Soyrizo deep-fried empanada contains soy chorizo and roasted potatoes in hand-pressed nixtamal and topped with garlic cashew crema. I enjoyed all three items, but the tacos were messy to eat.
