You'll need to know Japanese to buy things there. The staff doesn't seem to understand the difference between vegan and vegetarian unfortunately!

I got a salted caramel ice cream here that I absolutely loved- it's one of the absolute best vegan ice creams I've had in the country.
Read moreI had a hard time finding a place to eat it- it's forbidden to eat sitting on the benches in the building. I suppose you are meant to take everything home but I was so hungry I couldn't wait and none of the restaurants in the building appeared to offer vegan options.
