Decent selection of products and nice empanadas

This is a store with a small cafe, they have tofu, some frozen vegan meats, vegan yoghurt and sauces and dried goods like tvp. The empanada was tasty.

Tamal disappointment

Honestly tamal is why I came to this shop and a tamal with onions and olives didn’t impress me. It was also very spicy and i couldn’t finish it.
However they have some frozen things and other healthy stuff. Staff is very friendly!

Friendly

Lovely little shop with some fresh baked sweet treats and goods including vegan empanadas (soy and tofu ones), and a range of sandwiches on the menu. The cashier was helpful and spoke some English.

Pros: Friendly service

Cute little shop/ restaurant

This shop offers a lot of vegan alternatives- vegan meats, soy yogurt, vegan sandwiches to eat there (or to go) smoothies and more.
I had the seitan sandwich which was really nice but not the best I had. I also tried the tamale which has olives and mushrooms inside and I did not like it.
Smoothie was nice but nor cold enough and came in a disposable cup and chocolate mousse was really good.

Pros: A lot of vegan options!, Food has protein, Good service

Great option to buy some protein products

You can buy things like tofu, tempeh, seitan, soy yogurt, soy meat, vegan sausages.
It’s a great option to buy some things “ready to cook”.

Pros: Many options, Protein products

Great!!

They have a good selection of shelf staples like quinoa, gf flours, chia, sprulina, noodles, etc. They also have some baked goods ready-empanadas, brownies, cinnamon rolls, etc. Frozen/fridge foods include yogurt, various plant meats, and some unmarked random things. And of course there's a small sandwich, waffle, and juice menu.

Pros: Everything is vegan!!!, Cute space

Good food, open on Sunday

(Update September 2020: during the Coronavirus pandemic, there will be no Sunday meal service in the restaurant, but the snack bar continues to function next door. They have healthy food items to go and a few grocery items as well).

Located right next to the Naturlandia Snack Bar, this part of the establishment only has restaurant service on Sunday afternoon from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. (snack bar next door is open every day). The other days of the week they have social programs there, yoga classes and they also have vegetarian and vegan cooking classes.

The food here is good overall. The Sunday lunch includes a small salad, a bowl of soup, the main plate, a dessert and a drink. As of January 2020, the meal of the day on Sunday is 18 Soles. In my opinion this is the best value for dining on Sunday in the Miraflores area.

I wouldn't give them a full five stars, because occasionally the food is a little simple and not that interesting. But other times they outdo themselves and every single thing they bring to the table is very good. They usually post their Sunday meal of the day menu on their Facebook page. It is usually written on a sign just outside the door as well so check it over to make sure it sounds interesting to you. If it doesn't, nearby Sabor y Vida also has Sunday lunch at a reasonable price.

I would arrive there not later than 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. The food probably won't come out until 1:30pm or so, but the dining room does fill up and if you get there too late they may run out of some or all of the items. People are friendly here and they will share a table with you. The service is good and friendly. I would rate them four cows for the quality of the food, the good location in Miraflores, and the fact that they are open on Sunday afternoon when the majority of the other vegetarian places in town are closed.

The other days of the week, go to the veggie snack bar right next door for salads, smoothies, wraps, sandwiches, etc. A good meal there is the salad bowl with the addition of falafel or some other vegetable protein for less than US$5.The snack bar also sells products to go, such as yogurt, plant & dairy milk, frozen veggie burgers to eat at home.

Important: to eat Sunday lunch here you must first buy your ticket next door at the snack bar before sitting down inside the restaurant.

Pros: Location, Open Sunday, Tasty food

Cons: Sometimes not enough protein in the meal
