Nitro Nostalgia is Magnificent!

A friend of mine randomly fell N2 this new-ish (as of 2025) spot on a cold winter day N Chicago & called me as she sipped on a vegan-friendly, spiked shake on her walk home. This was nuts given the weather but she insisted that it was so good, it was worth it. She was not exaggerating.

Weeks later, another friend & I rolled past the spot during some random adventure & I remembered the story above. I made a quick u-turn & entered the spot 4 the 1st time.

With a large ice-cream menu, they make every single flavor from scratch. Doing that allows them 2 use any base requested, vegan or dairy. Obviously, we went dairy. Can’t remember if it was coconut or nut milk. It was non-dairy is the point.

I ordered a peach shake. My friend did a chocolate bowl. As we ordered, the attendants informed us that we could also have our desserts spiked. WHAT? I had my shake shaken up with some Uncle Nearest immediately! Both of us were blown away.

The place is beautiful. They have indoor seating. The customer service is PERFECT. Parking was easy. Getting your order does not happen N a flash but it’s because they R literally creating your wish on the spot. One of the women that waited on us was the owner’s daughter. Both individuals were so gracious and knowledgeable of their product.

We left more than happy and have been back multiple times now while also sending our other friends there. This place is going 2 B a summer jam!

Pros: Welcoming, knowledgeable & friendly staff., Outstanding product., They will “spike” your treat!

Cons: Not a 1.
