Badass Buddha Bowl - Edit
Friendly staff, and a bunch of variety and options when it comes to how you want to top your bowl. Tasted fresh and seems to be a popular spot so food is turning over frequently as well
Read morePros: Everything is plant based :), Healthy portion , Outdoor and indoor seating!

Nice and quick, but not great - Edit
Came here for an early dinner a couple of weeks ago. I had the lasagna and my husband had the BBQ bowl with a spring roll. The BBQ bowl was quite yummy, with a good portion size and lots of flavor. The spring roll was also delicious, though we got the last one of the batch so it was a bit greasy from sitting out a while.
Read moreThe lasagna was okay. It felt kind of dated - using aspects of vegan cooking that were as good as you could get in 2002, but not anymore? It had a béchamel sauce that wasn't flavored with anything I could detect, but then they'd melted what tasted like a slice of soy cheese on top. The old kind of soy cheese that has that weird unpleasant aftertaste... I think it would be better to make a more flavorful béchamel sauce and skip the fake cheese. It also had sweet potato, which I wasn't into for lasagna. Idk though maybe I'm spoiled by the great ones I've made with Serious Eats recipes.
The strawberry cheesecake sold out right before we got to the counter, but it seemed really popular! We'll probably be back at least one more time to get the cheesecake and try the curry, but I don't think it will be a regular spot for us unless those blow us away.
Pros: Fast, BBQ bowl yummy, Everything's vegan

Tasty and choice - Edit
Many choice, the food is full vegan and very tasty. Yes it’s expensive (plate for 179 nok) but everything is expensive in Norway, especially in Oslo. The staff is kind and helpful

Great food and menu options - Edit
Visited NordVegan twice on our trip to Oslo in July 2022. Wife enjoyed the soups and "egg rolls" while I enjoyed the Lasagna which was delicious. tried the fried mushrooms and found them to be a delicious but a bit oily. Portions were more than adequate for an evening meal. Prices acceptable. Menu options are dependent on day you visit restaurant and change daily. Bathroom was spotless.

I Don't Get The Hype - Edit
I expected generous, filling dishes but since it's rather pricey I only got the buddha bowl , not extra spring rolls etc. I sat there checking what other places are recommended since I was still hungry. I expected much more from one of the top 3 recommneded places in a capital city. Not because it should have been amazing, but it just wasn't special by any means. Big, clean place, yes, but it would be just an avarage restauraunt in the small town where I'm from in the mediterranean area.

My favorite meal in Oslo - Edit
Loved it. It was first really good meal in Oslo the three days I’ve been here. Also one of the least expensive. (210 NOK/$20.63) Everything is vegan. I had a large serving of lasagne and a side order of Sweet potato tempura. Oh, and chocolate cake. All great.

Fresh and tasty - Edit
The Buddha bowls we had were really tasty and varied. The summer roll was really delicious with a fresh minty tang. The apple pie was alright, but nothing to write home about. Tap water is free. Staff was friendly and alert considering food allergies. Price is level is what you have to expect in Norway and especially Oslo.

Worst ramen in the world? - Edit
As one of the dinner options were sold out due to a lack of spring rolls, we decided to try the ramen and Buddha bowl instead. The addition of sweet corn toppings feel more suited to a mess hall than a restaurant, but can be forgiven. But not the huge glob of ratatouille in the ramen. No warning beforehand. It's like the chef has never even heard of Japan. Avoid this ramen if you like ramen.

Good - Edit
Had the rice and curry bowl with fried oyster mushroom. Very generous portion. The curry had just enough spiciness without being too hot which was great. Good customer service. Nice place to eat.

Good Food & English Speaking Staff - Edit
I loved that they had a diverse menu and staff that would speak English with me as I don't know much Norwegian. I visited this place many times on my trip in 2019 and I adored it. Highly recommend!

Fantastic vegan bowls - Edit
When we came for dinner there were 3 specials on the menu and a variety of a la carte components you could choose from. We got a Buddha bowl and a BBQ bowl. Both were delicious and fairly filling (although I'm not sure what made the BBQ bowl "BBQ"). Wish we had time to try everything else on offer!

My favourite place in Oslo - Edit
My favourite vegan restaurant in Oslo. They offer mostly Asian inspired, healthy food.
Read moreYou can choose between different plates - for example "Curry plate with rice/ noodles and salad" or "Lasagna-plate". There are always a few besides to choose, too. They offer a variety of cakes, too.
Fair prices.
The restaurant is not far away from the castle.
I would recommend to reserve a table if you want to eat there on a Friday or Saturday evening.

My favourite restaurant in Oslo - Edit
I was in Oslo in 2018 but still have Nordvegan in my list of favourite restaurants. Back then, there weren't many vegan restaurants in Oslo, but this was one of them, and I took several people there. I liked their food a lot, especially the mixed bowl, and I don't even think it was that expensive for Oslo standards. At least I remember having been to more expensive places in Oslo.

Amazing vegan buffet - Edit
Nordvegan is by far one of the best Vegan-Only restaurants in Oslo's city Center. You are presented to a buffet with many options by a friendly and engaged staff. If you don't want to do the effort of customising you platter, you can choose from a menu.
Read moreYou can have a full meal like a Buddha Bowl, or just nice spring roll to go.
Nordvegan also do catering and delivery by Wolt!
Pros: Lots of different options, A clear vision to serve a balanced meal, Always some good desserts
Cons: A bit pricy, Earliest opening time is 11:30, so no breakfast
