WOW!!!!! Absolutely off the charts delicious

I have had some great vegan or at least animal free Japanese food over the years and this blows it all away by far. Our server was super friendly, the food was top notch and the atmosphere is great.

Chick'n Karaage was very delicious and had a nice glaze on it which maybe not as authentic but was "I want more" tasty. The Mayo sauces for dipping were great as well.

Vegetable Tempura was light and good flavor, I love the onion rings and zucchini the most but everything was on point. Probably some of the best tempura I have had in a long time.

Impossible Gyoza was impossibly good, I am a dumpling addict and I could eat those daily without getting tired of them. The sauce was a perfect accompaniment but the gyoza were perfectly cooked I had to stop myself from eating all of them and share.

Volcano Roll was yummy and would happily get it again but would have loved to have tried some of their other sushi. Zero complaints on it but of the amazing food I had this only went to ten and not eleven.

Yakisoba was just soba-good. Tons of flavor and who doesn't love noodles. We had some leftovers and I was hungry the next day and had it cold and it was still really really flavorful.

Had I not been dining with someone I probably would have done the Katsu Curry because while I make a basic curry myself (using curry bricks) I have always wanted to try something more elevated. However then I would have missed out on the Yakisoba which was outstanding in its class

The Chocolate Cake is the chocolate cake on which all other chocolate cakes should be based on. Everything pales in comparison to this cake. It was the perfect amount (after all that food) and wasn't heavy. I love chocolate but sometimes you get a wedge that is big and full of frosting and has your basic chocolate flavor but is good but not cake perfection like this. It was perfectly moist and the chocolate flavor really came through and tasted like good high quality chocolate.

They had a good selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails and some tasty looking THC stuff which I wish I had gotten to try but we did get a strawberry based NA cocktail which I tried and was really good.

As the famous John Holt/Paragons song (covered by Blondie) would say: "The price is high but I am holdin' on, this food is the number one"

Pros: Delicious food, Attentive and friendly staff, Nice Atmosphere

Cons: Price is high but not out of line for quality, Water was maybe a little off flavor wise

Well Deserved Popularity

Made reservations for my birthday dinner here, and arrived to a happy birthday note on our table. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We ordered Shiitake Gyoza, Vegetable Tempura, Tofu Katsu Curry, Lions Mane Steak, and Austin Maki Roll. All were perfectly delicious. For drinks, we enjoyed a Berry Mule, a Gin & Tonic, and a Pink Flamingo, which was particularly festive! The menu is unique and creative, going above and beyond standard vegan fare. Next time we're in Austin, we will come back for their Sunday brunch especially for the Okonomiyaki pancake (which is rarely seen at Japanese restaurants in the USA.)

Pros: Fancy cocktails, Creative dishes, Excellent services

Cons: Expensive (but worth it), Techno music a little too loud

Vegan Sushi, Ramen, Yakisoba, and More

The food was tasty and well-seasoned! Even the broth for the ramen had flavor. My non-vegan family thoroughly enjoyed their meals and my son ordered a second roll. If it wasn’t an hour away, I’d go back. I had the Yakisoba and tried my daughter’s ramen. Also ordered the cauliflower wings and got dessert. I don’t remember which sushi rolls they ordered. Everything looked so good and a reservation is a must. This place is popular!

Pros: Options, Flavorful, Fast service and reasonably priced

Cons: Only one location , Need more than three desserts

LOVE

Vegan sushi is what I search for every time I travel and this place is top notch! Ate here many times while visiting Austin. My favorite is the volcano roll but was never let down by the others

Nice upscale vegan Japanese

I got the ramen, which was good but I wasn't head over heels for it. Definitely worth a revisit though cause I'll have to try the sushi and other options next time.

Noodles were a good texture

We had the Ramen Noodles 🍜 and Dragon Sushi 🍣 The wife loved the Sushi 🍣 😋 liked the Ramen a lot. On the drive back to the house, she noticed that she had to drink a lot of water and thought they may have used a lot of MSG. I didn't get that feeling, myself.
Anastasio suggested we try one type of the Sushi, but we had already thought we'd get the Dragon. Next time I will go with the waitress Suggestions.

Go Here Now!

An amazing experience with both amazing alc and non-alc cocktails in addition to the outstanding vegan Japanese food. We sat at the bar and received great recos and guidance from the mixologists. The hardest part was not ordering everything off the menu.

Amazing

First time at Nori. What a joy to have so many vegan/plant-based options. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. They have a new zero proof cocktail selection. I enjoyed a hibiscus berry mule. Dessert finished us out with a fishy brownie with ice cream and strawberries. Can’t wait to come back.

Exquisite

This place is incredible! I had a cocktail, the nigiri sampler and a spider roll and it was all delicious. One little gripe is that the texture of the Just Egg in the tamago nigiri was off and kind of mealy. I’ll definitely go out of my way to come back here next time I’m in Austin.

Perfect for a date night

I went with my partner to celebrate our aniversary. During the night, Nori feels like an intimate and warm place. We had the Creamy Crunchy and the California. Food was great as well as the dessert and sake. I would say is a little bit expensive, but worth it.

Nice

I was so excited to find a vegan sushi restaurant in Austin. Nori has a plethora of options to satisfy everyone’s taste buds. We started with Chick’n Kaarage and it was my very good and full of flavor. The volcano sushi was good, but not my favorite. The Katsu Curry Dish was a bit too thick for me, but my husband loved it and he’s not a vegan. The Lion Mane Steak was a good and hearty dish; however, I didn’t care too much for the mashed potatoes, but the lion’s mane steak was my favorite! The steak was juicy, bursting with flavor and the texture was perfect! We had dinner here on a busy night, so I understand that there’s a possibility that things will not run smoothly, but the service here has room for improvement.

✨ Absolutely Fantastic ✨

Wow. This vegan restaurant really stood out to me! It's super rare to find really good vegan sushi in my area. The food was phenomenal! It had a semi fine dining flare which is also difficult to find. I was delighted that it had so many appealing offerings. We ordered the shiitake gyozas, volcano, texan, and spider. The volcano stood out and the gyozas were memorable. I enjoyed my meal so much that I didn't even think about taking photos. On top of all that our server, Forest, was the bomb and such a delight.

Amazing Sushi and Great service!

I had the Spicy Toona and Sunflower roll and it was a flavor explosion! Absolutely phenomenal dinner. Definitely come during happy hour for some reduced price rolls. But for a sushi place it’s pretty affordable.

Staff was great and happy to offer recommendations to first time diners like myself! If you miss high quality sushi, this is the place for you!

Pros: Food, Kind and helpful staff, Beautiful dining room

Hoping I get back to Austin some time soon!

The food and service were amazing 🤩. I ordered two rolls for lunch with miso soup and side salad and it was all so tasty. I'm just sad I cannot come here often to try their katsu, bentos, etc. Don't miss it if you stop by Austin!

Pros: Food!!, Service , Decor was pretty nice too
