Super delicious! - Edit
A great place to eat if you need dining that accommodates both vegan/non-vegans. Menu items that can be veganized will have a “V” next to them. When ordering just make sure you specify that you need it to be dairy and egg free. Their Northstar burger is really tasty (make sure you order without cheese) and I love their Buddha bowl with Tofu (dinner menu). Portions are plenty! We also got fries as our side with the burger instead of salad. Highly recommended!

A great lunch or dinner option - Edit
There are several Northstar locations around Columbus, and each has a different different vibe and different decor to match the different atmospheres. I really like the Easton location because it's more casual and cozy. I love the upstairs loft seating. I would not recommend Northstar for vegans for breakfast as they are very egg and dairy heavy, but they have great lunch and dinner options, and many options can be modified. Locations also have different menu items, just be aware. The Easton and Westerville locations have a great vegan Pad Thai (make sure to specify vegan), and I really love their vegan buddha bowl with grains, veggies, and tofu. They're known for their Northstar Burger made from beets! The prices are a bit expensive but the portions are a good size.

Busy For a Reason - Edit
Heard about Northstar Cafe so we thought we’d check it out. When we arrived, there was a LONG line until we could even place our order (8ish minutes?) and then found a seat outside to wait. After 15 minutes of waiting, we asked a staff member how much longer, and five minutes later, they brought out our dishes with two free meal vouchers for next time. And we will be back!
Read moreContrary to the service, the food was plentiful, flavorful, and delicious! My Buddha Bowl featured many veggies including mint and basil, broccoli, fried carrots (excellent crunch), and delicious peanut sauce. Was hoping for a bit more tofu, though. For the big bowl it was $14.50 with leftovers.
Overall, there are plenty of pros and cons, but if you have a chance, stop by! Although we suggest Monday-Wednesday to avoid the busyness.

Excellent veggie burger - Edit
This is one of those places where the menu doesn’t look all that exciting at first glance, but the food is really tasty. They have an excellent veggie burger, good sides, awesome salads. The Midwest can be hard on vegans so this place, which has several locations, is a really good option when eating with omnivores.

My favorite vegan burger in Columbus - Edit
This is my favorite place to get a vegan burger in Columbus. It comes with an awesome side salad. The salad is a mix of kale and mixed greens with an Italian dressing and croutons. It's a lot of food!

Best Vegan Burger - Edit
My favorite item on their menu, the Northstar Burger, is actually available at all of the Northstar locations in Columbus. I had the burger when I was just vegetarian and now since I've been vegan, and it's honestly so much better made vegan. The bread the burger is on is amazing and their salad is the best salad, probably ever. All veg items on the menu are well marked and everyone I've dealt with there has been extremely helpful veg wise!

The Only Place I'll Eat Out - Edit
Personally I don't like going out to eat very often, however whenever I happen to be at Easton (or even on High Street) I love to go to Northstar. Its so easy to get a vegetarian OR Vegan food item, far easier than any other restaurant.

Wow - Edit
That was terrible. I love their veggie burgers, but the rest of their vegan adapted items are bland and textureless. Boiled rice and boiled vegetables drenched in peanut sauce... This is what they think of vegans in one insulting bowl.

My family and I eat here all the time. The food is fresh, tasty and quick. The staff are generous and friendly. They really know how to take care of their customers. In a word, it's our go-to restaurant. I'd give them 5 cow rating, but the maximum is 4 for a non-veg restaurant. I highly recommend this place.
