Good, reasonably priced Korean dishes - Edit
Nice vegan versions of Korean and Chinese dishes, for a reasonable price in a nice atmosphere. I've visited a few times, ordering different dishes each time, and was always happy with the food.

Great vegan restaurant for korean food - Edit
Food was very tasty, the soup didn't quiet hit the spot in terms of flavor but the fried noodles and dumplings were great. The mushroom bites were a but too meaty for me but my mum loved them.

Korean food - Edit
If want to try Korean food while in Seoul that’s a perfect place, however I have to warn everybody about new religion in Korea and the fact that in most of the vegan places including this one you will see posters, books and pictures from that new religion/cult. Coming back to the food, it’s worth visiting the restaurant, you will sit on the ground and feel like in a real Korean place.
Read moreThe food is not expensive and pretty tasty
Pros: Cheap, One of few places with Korean food in Seoul
Cons: Part of new religion

Vegetables in Korea! - Edit
The only place I found to eat vegetables in 2 weeks in Seoul. Other vegan places were all closed every time I tried them (even this one was inexplicably closed one Thursday). But in a country that loves pork and fish in absolutely everything, this place is a saviour. Excellent dumplings!

Great options, not for those who need A/C or chairs.. - Edit
We really enjoyed our meal here. The seitan bulgogi was good and the kids loved the dumplings. Cool atmosphere, but not exactly cool as in temperature...

Best restaurant I’ve ever been to! - Edit
I love eating out and this is the best restaurant I’ve ever visited. I love their setting, the concept of removing shoes, sitting on the floor on a cushion!
Read moreI loved the loud and proud veganism clear in the whole restaurant and the ethics this restaurant employs when it comes to the environment!
The food was also SO tasty. I came with my two vegan friends and my two non-vegan friends and we all got different dishes thought they were absolutely delicious and of a good quality and reasonable price.
Will definitely be returning😄
Update: Returned with a group of about 10 people for my birthday! Again, it did not disappoint!
(Although, remember to get there early if you want a big table, otherwise it’s a bit squished…especially with 10 people😂)

Good food - Edit
The food is delicious and they have a lot of different options but like already mentioned not everything is freshly made. I recognise the mandu and also some of the banchan from things you can buy in store.
Read moreThe prices are reasonable and you can pay by cash or card.
I still think that the staff is a bit unfriendly and the atmosphere is not that great in my opinion. I've been there twice until now and both times I felt a bit uncomfortable.
Also, both times I went there I ordered kimchi mandu and got vegetable mandu which are delicious as well but the second time I even wrote it on the order myself so it was a bit disappointing...

So good - Edit
My favorite restaurant in Seoul. The portions are good, and all the dishes I tried (around 7-8) were good. Most are around 10,000won. The atmosphere is very zen, but in the summer, it can get pretty hot in the restaurant.

My go to place in Seoul - Edit
I don't even know how many meals I had here while I was in Seoul, I would guess at least 3 or 4. It was central, the food was good, the Kimchi was amazing (and you had a "free serve" bowl on each table) so it was really a very nice place.
Read moreMy favorite dishes (other than the Kimchi, have I said already how good it was :D) were the Bibimbap and the Vegan "cutlet" that had many nice "small" details coming with it. I also really liked the spicy soy, but I would guess it's not for everyone as it was very spicy.
I will definitely be back to this place if I go back to Seoul.
Pros: Super cozy, Good food, AMAZING Kimchi
Cons: Hard to find the first time

Staff was not overly friendly but the food was good. Nice to have vegan tteokbokki, fried “chicken”, etc. Lots of side dishes, not too expensive. You have to take off your shoes to enter, and you sit on the floor.

Lovely place in the backstreets of Insadong. Spacious seating at low tables, informal setting. Spicy tofu was good, but fried kimchi dumplings were definitely the winner.

Reliable Vegan food in Seoul - Edit
We have eaten here multiple times across the past 6 years and the food here has never disappointed. We ordered the Soy Meat Jigae, Soy BBQ meat rice set and Fried Chicken. The jigae was amazing but the soy meat wasn’t as good as we had hoped. All in all, will still always return when in Seoul.

Good location! - Edit
I went a few years ago and visited again a few days ago. Traditional restaurant with Korean and Chinese food. We tried 짜장면, Korean-style vegan chicken, and 시래기들깨된장 (a kind of soup with outerleaves, soy…). There were a lot of people and the air conditioning was very strong, but it's a good option in the middle of Insadong!

Medium - Edit
Came here passing the big sign “vegan restaurant” in Insa-dong since all the other places I like where closed. The place is traditional and beautiful but the staff was rather unfriendly. As for the food, the bibimbap my friend had truly lacked taste but my perilla noodles soup was good but not exceptional. I also want to say that the vegetables mandus are the frozen ones sold by a popular vegan brand (I immediately recognized the taste) so I doubt everything is made on place.

Not my first or second choice - Edit
Osegyehyang has only a few dishes wish are prepared fresh, but almost everything here is a frozen product you can buy and make yourself. The restaurant is dark and staff are not very friendly. If you choose to go here, the tofu stew might be a good choice.
Read moreA lot of people have said they like the black bean noodles here, but I find them bland and greasy (not unlike their non-vegan counterpart)
Osegyehyang is part of the loving hut group, so they have a TV displaying that sort of thing. If you know you know.
Most of the seating is on the floor (Im not docking them for this 😆) just info for potential visitors
