Seoul vegan restaurant owned by well-known Korean vegetarian food company, Vegifood. Food is mostly Korean and Chinese with a few pasta and salad dishes. Onion and garlic used in some dishes. Menu clearly labels dishes with and without alliums. Directions: Walk right to the end of Insadong-Gil 12 which does not appear on Google Map. 베지푸드'사에서 운영하고 있는 채식 레스토랑입니다. 한옥 구조로 아늑한 내부에 약 60여 개의 좌석이 구비되어 있습니다. 식사는 단품 메뉴로 다양한 한식과 중식, 각종 콩고기 요리가 제공되며, 파스타와 샐러드도 제공됩니다. 음식에는 마늘과 파가 들어가지 않습니다. 영업시간은 매일 11:30~21:00로 연중무휴입니다. Open Mon-Wed 11:30am-4:00pm, 5:00pm-9:00pm, Fri-Sun 11:30am-4:00pm, 5:00pm-9:00pm. Closed Thur. Last orders 1 hour before closing.

The food was ok, most was bland or had a weird texture. Edible but not good per se, just ok. Looked better than it was. No music playing and we were put in the corner by a cupboard door on the worst table despite the restaurant being empty other than us. Not particularly friendly and with no alcohol this all just became a bit awkward. Sad really as it looked much better than it was.

It was hard to find cheap vegetarian/vegan food in Seoul, a normal Jjajangmyeon cost 3.000 won, in a very local street food way, and this cost me 7.000-7.500 won apróx. As always as vegetarians and vegans, we always have to pay more😒BUT! It was so delicious, I really love Jjajangmyeon, and this doesn't disappoint me, the place was so comfy and warm so good especially now in winter. Also, you can drink all the water that you want but just only one teapot, not a really good tea so I really don't care cuz' it's the traditional Korean tea, not my taste at all.

They have a special table for people who going alone, so you are going to share one big table with others, is not a big problem was nice tbh.
If you looking at the map the location is a little confusing to get to the restaurant, I walk inside through Ssamzie-Gil Market, yes I get lost, but accidentally I get to Oh se gae Hyang! there you will see a restaurant in the background, walk there and on your left, it is going to be a little alley follow the alley and the map and you're going to get there! Were a relief and surprise find the restaurant in that way, was easier. If I come back to Seoul I pretty sure that I going to eat there again

I came here a number of times during my trip to Seoul.
I left full and happy each time.
However, the staff can be a little rude/impatient at times. Use what Korean you can. And if you're going alone prepare to be seated with others when they're short of seats.
I wish there could be a way to tell how spicy a dish might be. For really spicy dishes the word "spicy" is next to the name. However, some things that for foreigners may be considered spicy, there's no warning.
Then again if you're a foreigner travelling in South Korea probs should expect dishes that don't look spicy to be a bit spicy.

The past two times I’ve visited, the people working there have been extremely rude unfortunately.😒That being said the food is great and I love the huge selection so I always find myself going back despite the bad service. It’s a great place for people visiting Korea to try various Korean dishes.

This restaurant offers an extensive menu with vegan versions of traditional Korean dishes that are hard to find elsewhere. The kimchi dumplings are highly recommended. Serivice is no-nonsense but the food comes out very fast. Korean-style floor seating only.

This hanok restaurant is a must-visit! It can be quite busy, but the atmosphere is relaxed and all the food delicious. Definitely order one of the dishes that comes with the five or so sides. Our favourite was the vegetarian bbq with vegetables and rice.

Really nice restaurant presenting Korean typical dishes but veganized. We went there several times while staying in Seoul for a few days. We highly recommend the bulgogi and spicy stew.

The restaurant's vibe was really nice. It is pretty chill and relax. You sit on the floor and the staff is quite nice. The food was incredible! I had the tofu hot pot and the fried dumplins and it was delicious! I highly recommend this place. After struggling for a couple of days finding a vegan place, this place was a wow experience

I would still recommend this place, since it's one of the few vegan places serving up traditional Korean food. If I go back, I'd try more from their bbq menu.

I went with a non-vegetarian friend and both of us really enjoyed the food. It was my first time trying vegan korean bbq and it was delicious, I hope I can come back soon to try other dishes. What's more, the ladies were all the time adding side dishes for us.

The first time I ate here, I made the mistake of possibly ordering the worst thing on the menu, I think it was the Vegetable Noodle Soup or something along those lines. The taste was terrible, and I felt very silly for of course picking the bad one.
Read moreUpon visiting a second time and follow Liz's recommendations from below, I was blown away by how nice it was! I usually tend to stay away from mock meats but they were done perfectly, super flavourful and great texture.
Be sure to pick the BBQ items, as they definitely are the best!
