A Seoul Staple, believe the hype, don't listen to the haters! - Edit
We've been in Seoul for almost 3 weeks and I've eaten at soooo many vegan places but this is our most visited spot HANDS DOWN FOR SURE. This is our go-to dinner spot.
Read moreThere are SO many things on the menu so it doesn't really get boring (we've eaten almost everything now!). The best things from the menu have to be anything that comes with the ssambap wraps (lettuce leaf wraps) and the soups/stews - TIP: you make little lettuce tacos with the sauce they give you, I've seen to many people eat this wrong haha.
RECOMMENDATIONS from people who've eaten the whole menu:
*BEST* Vegetarian BBQ with vegetables and rice (SSAMBAP)
*BEST* Mushroom Roll with Hot Sauce (spicy and I recommend ordering extra ‘Vegetable Leaves’ to ssambap it up)
*ACTUAL BEST* Grilled Soy Protein Stew (Spicy and SO AMAZING)
Biji Stew (spicy)
Soft Tofu Stew - sundubu jigae (spicy)
Sikhye (Delicious cold and refreshing rice drink)
Mul Naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles in chilled broth- a traditional Korean dish that's hard to find vegan)
Doenjang Bibimbap - don't forget to mix everything together!!!!
The vibe is so homey too!

Delicious bibimbap set - Edit
I went there twice. Once for lunch amd once for dinner. Both times i got the soft tofu bibimbap set which comes with six side dishes. It was very delicious. Water is free. Everything is vegan (Loving Hut) and there's quite some variety!
Read moreService takes a while and might not be the friendliest ever. Price was okay 10000 won.

Rather disappointing experience - Edit
Due to the great reviews, our expectations were high, but unfortunately they weren't fulfilled.
Read moreAll the side dishes tasted old and not yummy at all. The tofu stew tasted very bland. At least the soya meat stew was o.k. The atmosphere of the place isn't very nice and everything looks a bit dirty and rundown. Even before finishing our food the staff asked us to leave, because there were people waiting for a seat. We understand that you shouldn't sit in a restaurant forever with people queing outside, but at least the staff could communicate this in a nicer way. Positive: There's free tea.

Delicious array of all vegan cuisine! - Edit
We especially enjoyed the BBQ soy (fake meat) and the 2 types of gyōza 🥟 (onion and cabbage)! The sticky purple rice was absolutely delicious too. Would have given five stars but they forgot about us and we had to wait an hour and half for our food to arrive. They also sell a nice variety of vegan packet noodles to take back to your hotel/hostel if you're still feeling the munch😉

Always worth a visit! - Edit
This place in Insadong is really great and offers some of the best vegan Korean food in Seoul. It can be rather full at times but the food is worth waiting some time. Their stews, black bean noodles and bibimbap are awesome and they offer a wide and delicious variety of side dishes, including different types of kimchi. The price is more than okay for what you get! At the entrance there is a shelf with some vegan ramen noodles, vegan meat and other food you can buy.

Amazing experience - Edit
The food here was absolutely amazing- we ordered rice dishes and received 5 or 6 small side dishes with it. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is lovely. I also bought some noodles and little vegan croissants. I definitely recommend going here if you're in Seoul!

Loved it! - Edit
Fully vegan menu, with many options: bibimbap, tofu stews, salads, noodle soups, soy/beans steaks, ...
Read moreWe had a bibimbap and a spicy tofu stew: they were both delightful!
Portions are just right, so one main course for lunch will be enough.
The venue is very nice too: cross sitting, in a ‘temple-like’ atmosphere.
Staff is friendly and speaks English.
Prices are absolutely fair: 10K each for the dishes we ordered.
Don’t miss it!!

Not impressed - Edit
I am not sure why this place gets such great reviews. It felt very dirty inside. There are dying plants everywhere. I was seated next to stacks of boxes (traditional floor seating here) the kitchen didn’t look clean. The whole place had a “junky, cluttered” vibe. The dumplings were good. The bbq was very chewy. The sides tasted old. It was quite full inside but not loud. I would not go back or recommend. Disappointing!

I was there in November 2018 and brought two meat eaters (one from Sweden and one from Korea) and all three of us were really impressed. All of the dishes were just fantastic.

Leave plenty of time - Edit
Both times I’ve been here the food has been great. But when they say they close at 9pm, they really do. There is a comedy waitress who will literally stand over you and make you eat up by taking your plates away. The bill comes directly after ordering and “money now” is demanded. It’s all pretty funny and adds to the experience. I would definitely recommend for traditional Korean vegan food. Just don’t go after 7:30pm!

Just ok - Edit
Maybe it’s because I’m not used to eating Korean food, but I thought the food was just ok. But they did have good portions and decent prices. The place is a cute old fashioned place where you take off your shoes and sit on the floor. It is a bit hard to find, like some people said, they have a sign that says vegetarian restaurant. Julifarn said “find Insadong-Gil 12 and it’s at the end”.

Very good experience - Edit
When entering you should leave your shoes in the closet on the right, the restaurant is on the left door. Food was really good, i had the bibimpap but there is a ton of options. Waitress wasn't that good at English but friendly and everything went really well.
