very nice atmosphere and authentic Korean cuisine

This quaint spot is hidden in the side alleys. Once inside you will find low tables with cushions on the floor. The portions were generous and the food very good. Loved the kimchi that came as a side dish to the soup. The restaurant also sells some frozen faux meats and cheese. Complimentary tea and water and free wifi.

cutlet 😬

Oh Lordy. The cutlet here is out of this world! It’s a very cute little place tucked into a corner in Insadong. The server was very nice. It is a traditional korean restaurant so shows off at the door and you sit in the floor on pillows.

Awesome food, great atmosphere

This was the first Vegan restaurant I ate at in Seoul and I was not disappointed. I absolutely loved the traditional style Korean seating and the atmosphere of this restaurant. The food was equally awesome and flavorful. I love their soups and noodle dishes. Definitely check this place out if you haven't!

excellent vegan fairs!

I've been to some other restaurants from this company but this one really stands out. Spicy soft tofu soup and vegan yogurt were something else!!

love the place but not enough staff

I went with friends to eat there. I loved the place and the environment. On top of that the food was amazing and not expensive. But the only problem in my opinion was that they had only one waitress in their busiest hours. It took time till we had our food ordered and then brought to us. But overall I loved it and I will definitely go there again.

Pros: delicious food, great atmosphere

Cons: not enough staff

Lovely experience

Beautiful hanok house with flowers. Great korean food on the cheap served with many delicious side dishes. Floor seating. My new favorite vegan place in Seoul that happens to also be very accessible, near Anguk subway station in the a beautiful and happening neighborhood with plenty of art galleries, a palace and things to do in the area. Some products are sold for economical prices also such as soy meats and ramen.

Pros: Full set meal, Good price only 7,000won, Traditional

Great location and tasty

Very close to Anguk metro station (one stop east of gyeongbokgung palace) so lots to see around it. The restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere, you sit on cushions on the floor in open-room spaces with low tables, and is lovingly decorated in korean style. Food is amazing, especially the soy cutlet, one of the best "chick'n" I've ever had. Some of the cold side dishes are an acquired taste but it was lovely to have a place to try vegan local food.

Pros: Location, All vegan, Style and atmosphere

Cons: Closes at 9PM, Little hard to find as it's tucked away

maybe it was the time of day...

We arrived not too long before last orders and korean friend had not the most amicable interactions with the staff. We were placed at a used table - which isn't a problem - but were left with it for 15 minutes before it was cleared,, albeit half heartedly.
Food was good though and we were just happy to finally eat.
Non-veggie friends were impressed by the jjajangmyeon that they shared, but not by the service.
Would revisit to give another chance.

Pros: nice range of dishes , potential for a nice atmosphere

Cons: hit and miss service ?

Nice Korean/Chinese vegan restaurant

This is basically a Loving Hut restaurant. There's a wide variety of Korean and Chinese dishes. I went there 3 times and always liked the food, although when I ate the jjajjangmyeon my stomach was a bit upset afterwards.

Some people complained about the seating being bad for "big" people, but the problem is if you're not flexible and can't sit cross-legged. I personally like that kind of seating, but I understand for people who can't sit cross-legged it might be uncomfortable.

The staff is OK. Not smiley, but nice.

very delicious

The restaurant is located in an old townhouse. You have to sit on the floor and you have to leave your shoes outside and enter in socks. The food was very delicious. You get a free pot of tea which might be made from roasted grain, but I am not sure. We had the fried dumplings which were very tasty. Also the vegetarian meat with sweet and sour dressing and cabbage was good. The noodles in sesame were not very spicy and lacked a little bit of saltiness.
Nevertheless we enjoyed our food and the price is very good for what you get.

Great traditional Korean vegan food

I was so happy to stumble upon this restaurant in Insadong.
The menu is full of Korean and Chinese vegan meals and the tofu sundubu was delicious with the right amount of spice for me.
I loved the experience as well - taking off your shoes, sitting on the floor.
Vegan side dishes are also a bonus!

Pros: Reasonable price, Excellent food

Cozy, affordable, and traditional

EASY DIRECTIONS
It's a 3 minute walk from Exit 6 of Anguk Station, line 3 (안국역). No taxi or bus needed!

Head down the alley way/ market area right outside Exit 6, keep walking towards Insa Hostel (인사호스텔), and you'll find it!

Pros: Affordable and yummy, Similar to Loving Hut, Savory flavors with lots of side dishes

Cons: Uncomfortable floor seating, Small meat portion

pretty good

for 15000krw you can get a pretty huge meal capable of feeding a big person. i had an order of dumplings and an order of the soft tofu in a boiling crock pot. lots of side dishes come unexpectedly with. staff does not care you're there at all. seating is not good for larger people - im in shape at 90 kg.

Pros: portion quantity, speed of delivery

Cons: bad seating, staff

Quite ok, but a number of dishes contain onion &/or garlic

The dishes are quite ok in taste, but some dishes can be quite salty. I was recommended by my friends, but maybe because of the good reviews, I felt the food were not as tasty as claimed to be. A number of dishes also have onion and/or garlic.

Pros: Quite a lot of variety

Cons: Can be quite salty
