Fave vegan spot in Seoul

Extensive menu, easy to order, all delicious food. The owners are quick and kind. Ive been a few times already and will definitely come back.

My favorite dish so far has to be the spicy tofu stew.

Oh M Gae

A big range of classic Korean dish options and not too pricey.
The beef bulgogi and sweet and sour Korean fried chicken were yummy!
The meat wrapped in lettuce was outstanding.

So many dishes to choose from

You place the order on the tablet and the food is served. I got the vegan bulgogi which was outstanding, and the side dishes were really good too. Had a great experience here

Great Experience

A vegan snack bar that is somewhat hidden near the Insadong. The food is all vegan and very tasty.

The prices are quite reasonable and the proportions are ample. Ordering is done via a tablet at the table. The dishes are also indicated in English. Water and tea are available free of charge.

The food is also fresh and quickly prepared. Since it is quite busy, you sometimes have to wait a few minutes until you get a table.

Pros: Delicious Food, Unconplicated order, Low prices

Excellent Korean food

I'll probably get through a few burgers while in Seoul, so it's exciting to sit and enjoy veganised traditional Korean fare. Food came quite quickly, good prices, and it's easy to order food through a screen.

Great choice of vegan food and perfect spice level

This was tucked away at the end of the road in a lovely old building. You can order via a touch screen in English which makes things a bit easier.

We had the spicy tofu stew and tteokbokki with a side of dumplings. The tofu stew was amazing and the tteokbokki was the nicest we've tried in Korea, and obviously good to know that the sauce didn't have fish in it.

Pros: Great choice of dishes, Perfect spice level on the tofu stew

Tasty, traditional and cheap!

An absolute gem in a maze of alleyways. We tried the jjajjangmyeon (black bean noodles), naengmyeon (cold noodles) and doenjang jjigae (soybean stew) and they were all wonderful. It was so nice to finally get to try all the side dishes..😂The service was super quick and some staff members speak English. Will definitely come back!

Traditional korean food in vegan version

Delicious, spice level: not too intense 😀 As in most places in Korea: it's hard to communicate in English. The kimchi dumplings were the tastiest.

Wholesome cheap eats

Hidden in a little backstreet of insadong district this fully vegan restaurant has an abundance of options. You order via a digital screen at your table giving you plenty of time to look through the menu (in both Korea and English). Staff don’t appear to speak much English but that’s okay 😁 service is super quick too so turn around for tables is fast.

Lots to pick from with meat alternatives too.
Portions are good but worth ordering more and sharing so you can try lots of different things.

The texture of the meat alternatives is fab and full of flavour in every meal.

This is a no brainer for any (vegan or not) visiting SK.

Pros: Menu offering, Quick service, Setting

Great food and service shame about the horrible footage the tvs are playing on a loop

Food was really tasty, especially the sweet and spicy fried "chicken". We got seated straight away, our food arrived quickly and there are even vegan instant noodles and snacks you can buy to take with you. I can't give it 5* because of the tvs that are everywhere playing a ridiculous vegan TV channel which includes footage of animals being slaughtered and dead children from the Syrian war, no one wants to watch this whilst trying to eat a meal

Pros: Service is fast, Spicy fried chicken is amazing

Cons: Please change the awful TV channel

Thank you for commenting about this. I wish I had been warned before going because I would have gone somewhere else. It felt a bit hypnotic & it creeped me out. I looked it up & it’s a cult thing. 😒 very sad

Amazing chaos!

Hidden away at the end of an alley is this lovely but chaotic gem!

You order through a tablet on your table, and the food comes fairly quickly. We ordered just after a table of 20 but didn't have to wait more than 30 mins for our food.

Owner speaks English well, but not the servers. Serve yourself tea and water.

Food was delicious, so happy to be able to try vegan Korean food!

Pros: Great food!, Big portions

Cons: Not the cleanest place

Sorely disappointed

I wanted to love this place and couldn't believe how disappointing it was. The food is mediocre, inauthentic, and overpriced.

Growing up in a Korean household, I know what the non-vegan versions of these dishes tastes like. And this place gives an extremely poor representation of Korean food.

We got the donkasseu, fried chicken, bulgogi, fried egg, and deulkkae kalguksu.

Donkasseu itself was greasy and all batter, hardly any substance. The sauce they gave broke my heart and I couldn't believe how flavorless it was.

Wish we got the yangnyeom chicken instead, because the sauce-less ones we got were just pieces of fried chunks.

Bulgogi was disgusting. Insanely greasy and only tasted like sesame oil. Texture of the "beef" was rubbery and soggy.

Fried egg was fine. Cool concept, seems like it's made out of tofu.

Deulkkae kalguksu was lacking seasoning, it sorely needed salt.

Couldn't believe they only offered up 4 banchan, and 2 of them were surprisingly great and tasted like home. The baechu kimchi was disappointing.

They have a great ordering system that makes it easy for non-Korean speakers to place an order. Great location in the heart of Insadong. Service was friendly and quick.

Pros: Location, Easy ordering system

Cons: Inauthentic, Pricy

Great vegan food!

A great spot to visit for vegan Korean/Chinese food in Seoul.

It was easy to order on the screens on each table, which had descriptions in English as well as pictures of each dish. I ordered the large spicy noodle soup with a side of rice, which was fresh, tasty, and a very good portion size. The prices were also good for the location.

I would particularly recommend for solo travellers, as there were many small tables and I didn’t feel out of place eating alone!

Pros: All vegan, Very quick service, Good prices

Cons: Busy on weekends

Korean food but made vegan

I've been here twice now and intend to come back. Really enjoy their food. So far, I had the spicy tofu stew, Outer leaves stew (reminded me of spinach), the jajangmyeon and of course the vegetable and the kimchi dumplings (definitely get them!) and everything absolutely delicious! 😍
You order your food over a little screen directly at your table and a friendly Korean lady will bring it to you. She doesn't speak English, but so far, that never was a problem. 😊
My only small critique would be that the TV is a little loud. One time I was seated directly next to it and it was kind of distracting. 🤷‍♀️
Update: I've taken several non-vegan friends here over the time and so far, everyone likes it 👍

Our favorite in Seoul

We’ve been there more than ones while our stay in Seoul. Absolutely amazing to be able to try some authentic korean food in vegan version.
Everything we tried from the menu was delicious and I’d re order it next time again.
Positively to mention that you need to place the order via Tablet on the table, menu on the tablet itself comes wish a picture of every dish so you know what you can expect.

Amazing!

If you’re looking for vegan versions of Korean food then go here! We ordered tteokbokki, Korean fried chicken, tofu spicy soup and some mandu and it was all so tasty and reasonably priced. No alcohol which is a shame but I would happily eat here every day whilst im in Korea!

Good food

I was excited to see there was a vegan restaurant right next to my hotel. My husband and I ordered the spicy chiken and dumplings. I would have liked it if the chiken was more spicy and hotter. It came to us room temp. The dumplings were good.

Pros: Lots of vegan options

Cons: Food came out cold

Good but overpriced

A bit overpriced in my opinion!
I was happy that they at least had a website where you could have a look at the menu and the prices before going there! However, it turned out that they haven’t updated the menu! The prices are even higher (minimum 2k-4K more) and they removed some food from their new menu!
I am also not sure what I should think about the fact that their dumplings are store-bought (you can see the packages in their freezer and can buy them at Costco)!
The dumplings still taste very good but knowing that they sell 4 piece for 6k and you can get a bag of about 28pcs for approximately 8k… (found them for 7.8k in a small shop) well 🤷🏼‍♀️
My friends wanted me to bring them the large sweet and spicy chicken, which tastes amazing and we really loved it! However, we were all shocked when we saw the price! In our opinion 18k is not a reasonable price! Especially when I keep in mind that I can buy the same kind of mock chicken with a sweet and sour spicy sauce in store for only around 5.3k!! It obviously tastes different and you have to cook it yourself, but the cooking part is done in max 10mins and I’d say it is the same amount of chicken as the one for 18k in the restaurant! And it tastes amazing as well!

So all in all, the 2 items we tried did taste really good but in our opinion it is a bit overpriced! But still a great option if you want to go out for 100% vegan food!
