Came here twice while in Seoul and my kids even liked the food and they are not Vegan. Tasty Korean vegan food and the staff is very friendly and welcomes you right away with hot tea. Easy to order and some unique dishes to try.

Nichts besonderes - Edit

Vegan Korean Food - Edit
Fully vegan and Muslim-friendly (but not Halal-certified) eatery at Insadong Shopping Street, 5 to 10 min walk from Anguk Subway Station Exit 6. Quite crowded so be prepared to wait. Very nice traditional-looking setting with floor seating (shoes kept outside). They use vegetable broth instead of water to cook the dishes. All ingredients are non-GMO. Dishes with and without alliums / five pungent herbs are labelled clearly; majority allium-free. The menu mostly focuses on classic Korean dishes, with a few Western dishes. There are also several shelves selling vegan retail products. Everything is reasonably priced. Been visiting multiple times throughout my trip! P.S. This eatery is associated with Supreme Master Ching Hai.

Good selection of vegan versions of traditional Korean food. The Kimchi mandu were incredible, the jajangmyeon was bit too watery for my taste, but still good.

Worth the hype! Perfect after visiting Gyeongbokgung Palace - Edit
I was stunned. It was SO tasty and the experience really really nice. It felt really traditional to me, since you habe to take off your shoes and sit on the bottom. The menu was great! A big book with the dishes on one side in Korean and on one in English. Also it has some educational sides about veganism which is just really great!

We loved the food and everything was delicious. It was hard to decide what to order since everything in the menu looked so good. Among the best I’ve had - Edit
We were blown away by this place. We concentrated on dishes we would be unlikely to find in veg versions elsewhere. The bulgogi and sweet & sour pork were delicious, and my dinner companion, who is Korean, said she could barely tell the difference from the meat-based versions, other than that the veg bulgogi might have been a little better. The black noodles were the weakest of the three dishes, but still tasty and saw us wiping the plate clean. The side dishes, including pickled radish or parsnip, and fish cake were co-stars worth mentioning.
Read moreThey also sell some of their ingredients and other vegan food in dry packs (as well as vegan jerky) and in frozen packages (sausages, fish, etc.).
Other reviews mention brusque service, so I’ll record that we found just the opposite on our visit.
Two notes that are not complaints but possibly handy for people considering going:
1. no alcohol is served, though there is 0% beer;
2. closing time is listed as 9, but you must arrive before 8 to stand any chance of ordering (7:30 or earlier recommended).

The Noodles with beans was very delicious, the serving is very nice. You sit on the floor and take of your shoes as is custom in many traditional restaurants in both Korea and China.
