Great first Korean vegan restaurant experience - Edit
First time trying an all vegan restaurant in Korea and it was an amazing experience! It’s located in an alleyway of hankoks (traditional Korean houses) in the popular tourist spot Insadong so it was great to grab a bite and have a wander. I took my dad who’s never tried a vegan restaurant before and he was blown away (especially by the fried “egg”). There were so many options so you’ll be spoilt for choice.
Read moreThe only downside was that there were no chair seating which was a bit difficult for my dad who can’t sit on the floor for long due to health issues but other than that couldn’t fault the experience.
Pros: All vegan, Friendly staff, Location
Cons: Sitting on the floor

The food tasted very good and you have a lot of options. You get fee tea that tasted like heaven. The staff speaks a little bit of English but it is not a big problem since you have an English menu and pictures of food. Definitely check it out!

Yum! Don't miss this place if you're near Insadong - Edit
Everything was really delicious. The menu is fully vegan, in English, and has photos, so while the staff didn't speak much English, ordering was very easy. It's nice to try typical Korean food vegan.

My new favorite restaurant! - Edit
Let me just start off by saying that I’m a sucker for a lot of Korean food so finding a place that specializes in making vegan versions of Korean dishes has been a heaven sent. The restaurant itself is a bit hidden in the alleys outside of Anguk station, but if you follow the directions on Naver Map or in the description, you’ll be able to find it with no problems. When you get to the restaurant, there is a closet to put your shoes in and a station where they have you spray yourself down with a disinfectant before entering. The staff doesn’t really direct you where to sit (at least not the times I’ve been) so it seems like it’s just open seating. There is a self serve water station toward the front of the restaurant and the utensils are located in a brown holder at the table. On my first visit, I ordered the Bibimbap and the small size Kimchi Dumplings and was surprised by the amount of food I received for only 14,000 won. All the main dishes come with banchan (side dishes) and they could be different depending on which dish you get. The food is made fresh to order so there isn’t an over processed taste that some vegan restaurants tend to have. On my first visit I went around 5:30pm after their break time and even though I was the only one in the restaurant for a solid hour, the lady didn’t seem very fond of tending to me. She ignored me a few times when I tried to get her attention to order or ask a question so I would say that was the only downside to this otherwise great place. (Also I spoke to her in Korean so language barrier definitely wasn’t the issue.) Something to keep in mind before visiting is that the restaurant doesn’t seem to have any central air conditioning so depending when you visit, it can be very hot inside. Overall though, 오세계향 is a hidden gem and I recommend vegans and non-vegan alike to give a try! Just don’t go on a very hot day haha!

Words cant even describe how delicious the food was. My non-vegan friend couldn’t stop saying how delicious everything was! We had the Korean spicy tofu stew, Chinese stir fried noodles, and vegetable dumplings. The atmosphere was so comforting and I felt refreshed after my meal!

International Fusion Vegan 퓨전 비건 레스토랑 - Edit
[Eng/Kor] I like to visit vegan restaurants to eat real vegetables, not to eat substitutes meat instead of real meat. However, it is a real nice try for non-vegan people how it can be delicious!!! Wish staffs are more welcoming. provide Menu are Korean, Chinese, and some fusion or western all mixed. It is like gift set cuz you can eat all of it at one place! Food are delicious but overpriced a bit depending menu... Still nice to try! Hope the staffs are nicer… They provide dosirak to homeless people.

Pretty good - Edit
Came here and spent a lot of time looking through the menu trying to figure out what I should get. I honestly wasn't in the mood for anything but fresh vegetables which ruled out most of the menu items. I ended up just getting the bibimbap. It was pretty good. I'd get it again but I'd like to come back and try some other things on the menu.

Amazing!! - Edit
I’ve lived in Seoul now for a year and a half so how is it that today is the first time I’m trying this fantastic restaurant?!? I went one other time but they were on break from 3-5 so it didn’t work out. Anyways, I plan to make up for lost time by visiting often..and I already kinda started today by the amount of food I ordered! 😆
Read moreI just had to get the perilla soup because I’ve had it elsewhere and I love it. Needless to say it was amazing. Also tried the bibimbap which came with an array of delicious side dishes….they had a vegan fried egg that I added to the top and was very excited about. The soft tofu and bean paste were so good. We also got the most delicious dumplings and the super yummy fried chicken. Basically this is my lunch again tomorrow and I couldn’t be happier about it! PS- I shoulda brought a container bc the leftovers came home with me in plastic bags. Next time I know!
I love Korean vegan food!!

Very yummy! - Edit
This was our first visit and I'll definitely be back! When you go in, shoes go in the closet to the right (there was no sign and the closet was closed, so we didn't know). Korean style seating, so be prepared to sit on the floor. The menu is in Korean and English, along with pictures of each dish. My omni friend and both found our meals to be tasty and filling. Prices are reasonable, our meals and tea came to 29,000 KRW. There are also Vege Food products for sale. Frozen vegan eggs, shrimp, chicken, beef, along with soup mixes and packets for stew.

Worth visiting! - Edit
This was our favourite restaurant in Seoul and we visited it 5 times because we wanted to try different dishes. The food is great and tasty, it was nice to have Korean dishes veganized! The side dishes were different every time and delicious. The food never disappointed us. The price was reasonable for the great food. The atmosphere in the restaurant was nice and siting on the floor made it special.

Not all super flavorful but mostly really good! - Edit
The first time I went, my friend and I both got soups which were not that flavorful (definitely didn’t seem as spicy as it was labeled which I was glad about haha). The second time I went, i got a Chinese noodle and veggie dish that was delicious and my non-vegan Korean friend said that their soft tofu soup was very authentic. The side dishes are mostly good and the dumplings are amazing! Plus you get to sit on the floor which is fun.

Love! - Edit
Delicious food. One of the two places I went to the most as an exchange student, sometimes multiple times a week and I was never disappointed! Would personally recommend the 삼밥 and the 공국수. Brought my non-veg friends there and it convinced them to give veganism a try. The staff can sometimes seem a little bit cold, but it didn't personally bother me too much. Vegan faux-meats and groceries are available to buy there too.
