Bof / So so

Came here with a mixed group of eaters as they’re meant to have something for everyone. The vegans in our group were not particularly impressed with their meals. They were fine, albeit too salty, but nothing special. I wouldn’t return.

Pros: Vegan options, Friendly and helpful staff

Cons: Food is just ok

Delicious & Great Atmosphere

Really enjoyed the food! The Khodra was delicious! Would highly recommend checking it out! Options are limited but what they do offer, they do well!

Pros: Atmosphere , Flavour, Price

Cons: More options would be great!

Great spot for lunch

Had the khodra sandwich, which is a very tasty vegan pita sandwich. The menu has a few decent looking vegetarian and vegan options.

A good place to go in a mixed group with some vegans and some non vegans since there are meat based dishes as well

Great wrap

All vegetarian and vegan options are clearly labelled. One sandwich is vegan and many of the salads and sides are too. I had the Khodra sandwich with tofu, veggie-pâté, babaghanouj, onions, dried tomatoes and cabbage. It was very tasteful. I also had a kebbe stuffed with spinach and chickpeas. It was also really good.

Pros: Vegan options clearly labelled

Excellent!

Plein d'options vegan à bons prix. La salade d'orzo et peanut est excellente, l'hummus et les feuilles de vigne.

Pour un lunch rapide

La salade d’orzo est délicieuse. Bonne option de partager une assiette de 5 mezzas.

Herbivore is the way to go

Their 3-4-5-choice Herbivore dish is something I could eat on a daily basis. Not every single option available for building this is vegan (I think some salads may have cheese or mayo), but most are. And their hummus and babaganoush are something else.

Pros: Really tasty and filling

Great vegan khodora and hot sauce

The vegan khodora is amazing so simple yet so tasty. Probably one of the best hot sauces a restaurant gives you that isn’t Tabasco. Could do more vegan options.

Pros: The vegan khodora is simple cheap and spectacular, Extremely tasty hummus

Cons: Wasn’t a fan of the mezze salads, Could do more vegan options

tasty lunch spot

They offer a couple of vegan sandwiches. We shared the mezze plate - enough for two - and chose from their excellent selection of salads and dips.

Great hummus, orzo and tabouleh. My ideal babaganoush is a little more smoky.

All for some of their pickles on the side, they're delicious.

Good Food

As a vegan you can either take the mezza plate or the Kafta Khodra sandwich. Both are good.

Pros: good food

Cons: need more vegan options

Omnivore is good for herbivores too!

As a vegan, I was a little leery about going to a place named Omnivore. But my partner was having one of those strange "I need meat!" moods, and as I'd fed him vegan falafel and cookies for lunch, I thought I'd better give in. We got there and I was extremely nervous, seeing a counter full of salads and not knowing which I could eat, but it turned out that both of the staff on duty were not only fluent in English, they *genuinely* understood what a vegan diet was. It turns out that the information given in the restaurant description is correct - everything in the counter *is* indeed strictly vegetarian, and almost everything is vegan. If I recall correctly, there were two salads I couldn't have because they contained eggs. There is one lacto-vegetarian sandwich (made with feta cheese), and one strictly vegan sandwich. Also meat appears to be both stored and cooked entirely separately from the vegetarian foods.

I opted for the 5 mezze Herbivore plate. I chose lentil rice, a hot spinach/chickpea thing that I've forgotten the name of, butter beans, and an AMAZING pasta salad with mangoes, almonds and cranberries. As I couldn't choose between hummus and baba ghanoush, they let me have a half-portion of each. Everything was delightfully spiced - not with hot spices, simply tasty ones, and most of the food was obviously low fat.

There were also vegan desserts: a baked coconut cake, and a raw vegan/gluten-free chocolate-coconut pie made by a company called Rawsome. Both looked good, but I had the raw pie and it was DELICIOUS. I have posted photos of both my mezze plate and the chocolate-coconut pie.

Really, I don't remember the last time I had such a good meal in a restaurant that wasn't completely vegetarian. Highly recommended.

And my partner, the one who needed meat so badly? He had a tiny kebab skewer of meat, then a big mound of lentil rice, salads, hummus and baba ghanoush. I consider this something of a victory.

Pros: Really delicious mezze and salads., Has vegan and raw vegan desserts too. , On a bus route - the 55 stops outside.

Cons: Serves meat., One big step at the front.
