expensive, small servings, poor food

Veggie fried rice no egg - $18 - small serving, rice was undercooked and chewy and extra oily
Chinese broccoli no oyster sauce - $17 - very small serving
Hot water in a pot for tea - $5.50, tea extra $6

Pros: decor, opening hours, location

Cons: expensive, oily, undercooked food

Special night out

We showed up without a booking on a busy Saturday night, but managed to get seats at the bar. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Delicious drinks & food. A bit pricey - more of a fancy night out than casual dumplings. But felt worth it. The mushroom dumplings are my favourite kind - they are the crystal dumplings which use a translucent/sticky dough. We ordered an extra serve!

Pros: Friendly and knowledgeable staff, Clearly marked plant based section on menu

Review for yum cha option

I was really looking forward to this place for lunch following all of the positive reviews. I turned up late so I’m not sure if my companion elected the yum cha option or if that is what is served during lunch but I was incredibly disappointed I couldn’t order from the menu. Anyway I explained that I was vegan and they said the chef would make vegan options. The first offering were two different mushroom dumplings and some buns. Then it was broccoli. The dumplings were ok but I wasn’t blown away by the flavours. I’ll ring first next time and see if I can get a regular menu during lunch but if not, I won’t return for the yum cha. The staff really nice but I think there were 3-4 vegan options in the time my friend was offered about 8-10 non vegan options.
