This is a MUST! You get the true authentic Italian vibe walking into this bakery and you also get a good amount of vegan options which are so well made, I wanted to keep going back for more. It was honestly some of the best vegan pastries I’ve ever had!

Traditional pasticceria with lots of vegan option! - Edit
Not just the same sad vegan croissant. Pasticceria Gualtieri is an historical pastry shop, and they offer a lot of vegan choices, traditional Italian and florentine pastries made vegan, like maritozzo or budino di riso. Recommended for a true Italian breakfast!

Delicious vegan pastries! - Edit
During our time in Florence, these were our favorite pastries. We particularly enjoyed the donut and apricot tart. The chocolate cake slice was very rich but a bit bitter. Overall, a delightful find!

Many different vegan pastries - Edit
When we visited on a Sunday morning at 09am they had already sold quite a lot of their pastries, but they still had 8 different kinds of vegan ones left. We tried almost all of them. We particularly enjoyed the donut (great texture), the Berliner (great texture, cream could have more flavor) and the crispy/sticky one with sweet rice inside. The croissant and the baked tartelette were tasty. We were not big fans of the dough of the apple pockets (although the inside was tasty) and the tartelette with the sticky milk rice was unremarkable. They offer vegetable milk (soy and oat milk at least).
Read moreIt can get quite hectic inside, as the place was packed. There are a few tables outside, which are in high demand. The staff was very friendly.
We were billed EUR 1.80 for each vegan pastry, but according to their menu the price can vary from EUR 1.80, to EUR 2 and EUR 3.50.

Amazing Vegan Pastries! - Edit
Sad I can't give this place 5 stars as it's not fully vegan! However it does offer about 8 vegan pastry options with plant milks for coffee. We went back several times during our stay in Florence and were really impressed with the yummy pastries on offer. Always received great service (from someone who spoke very good English so you could be certain things were vegan) at a very reasonable price. Would recommend for vegans and non-vegans alike. My omni boyfriend tried the vegan pastries and loved them too!

Amazing vegan pastries! - Edit
There are amazing vegan pastries available here! I went at 12.50pm (10 minutes before closing), after hopping off the blue city sightseeing tour, and picked up 7 different vegan pastries! The staff were very welcoming and helpful and told me that there is an even greater selection of vegan cakes earlier in the day! Wow! I bought one of each pastry and they wrapped them up so well that they remained completely intact after a 2h bus tour and walking about! I can't recommend this place enough. I would rate this place 5/5 except as a 'Veg-Friendly' establishment its rating is capped at 4/5.

awesome vegan pastries, worth the walk - Edit
This pasticceria is definitely worth the walk. My husband and I got 3 things--a cream filled pastry, a chocolate with ganache brownie cake and croissant, and all three were awesome. It is not a restaurant so maybe the previous reviewer is talking about a different place. The vegan selection has its own case and is clearly marked. The server behind the counter was so helpful and friendly too. We want to go back to try everything!

Read moreThe restaurant was very strange. There were several optionals, all of which were practically doused in sugar. So not for the health concerned. The vegan options were good, the non vegan as well. For the non vegans the only thing not covered in sugar was a strange looking sandwhich with something grey/green that resembled an egg.
Pros: Good vegan options. Average service.
Cons: Food was... sketchy.
