Giant Pizza

We shared a couple of the 20 inch pizzas between 4. Thought this would be a bit of a novelty, but the pizza itself was fantastic and went down well.

The added bonus about Pepe Nero is that it's based in one of the best bars on King St.

Pros: Great location, Good quality food

Filling pizza

It's nice to have more than 1 or 2 selections of pizza. We enjoyed the Pizzas and really do recommend coming here (although 1 star off because the base could have been better - fussy pizza eaters here haha)

Delicious Pizza

The selection of vegan pizzas here is great and there are a mixture of pizzas with fake meat and those with just veg. I had the Unica which had artichoke cream on it and it was amazing. The service was also ridiculously fast and there’s a decent selection of beer too.

Should be 5 stars but not able

Absolutely love this place and it has always been a reliable favourite. From quick grab lunches in the old bearpit location, to delivery and dine ins at their current Beer Emporium location.

The choice is large and the pizzas taste great. The 20inch pizzas they have for the dine in are perfect for sharing at a table over a few drinks.

The staff have always been friendly and this is always the first place i would reccomend for pizzas in Bristol foe anyone who is vegan/has a vegan in their group

Pros: Taste, Location, Service

Cons: Delivery not always available

So many options!!

It’s so rare to find a pizza place with as many vegan options as omnivore but Pepe Nero have so many its difficult to choose! The base is my favourite, lovely thin base but with a yummy doughy crust. Would highly recommend!

Pros: Lots of options , Really yummy

Good pizza

The pizzas have a good dough and there is a great choice of vegan toppings. They also have a selection of vegeterian and non-vegetarian dishes.

Out of the two times that I booked a table through the website, they never actually got my reservation (even though I received the confirmation email and all..). However, we always managed to get a table.

Outstanding vegan selection!

After next door’s vegan kitchen was closed for the night we luckily stumbled across this amazing pub with the best vegan options I’ve ever seen! We both loved our pizzas: diavola and vegan salmon and the pizza dough was beautifully chewy!

Pros: Largest vegan selection in standard restaurant, So tasty, Friendly barman

Cons: Hidden gem

Vegan meaty options

The pizzas are amazing. The have a lot of vegan meaty options for them and even vegan salmon.
The place some times could be a little bit noisy but its alright, and they also have some tables outside.

Lovely (& cool) place

I just went in on a walk-in for a take away pizza with some friends. We were all impressed by the warm friendly atmosphere, and the Beatles cavern sort of architecture. The girl who served me was really friendly and attentive. Above all, the vegan pizza was delicious!

Love love love!

If you haven’t already been here, you need to go asap! This place serves fabulous pizzas and sides for both vegans and meat-eaters. Which for me, means I can take my meat-eating friends and family here, as well as the non-meat eaters for everyone to enjoy. Perfect for birthday meals etc. Really love the atmosphere and ambiance here too, along with all the specialty beers! Great night out😄

Pros: Serves vegan and non-vegan food. , Beer variety. , Ambience.

Cons: Limited seating area.

not great

I had a 12 inch tofu sausage and mushroom pizza.
The pizza was pretty boring and tasteless. No herbs in the sauce or dough and tbe toppings couldn't save it. The texture of the crust was good though.
Staff were friendly and the beer was good

Pros: friendly, many vegan options

Cons: expensive, tasteless

A must-try!!

We got a 20 inch vegan chorizo pizza, and it was fantastic. The best pizza base I've had in ages, lovely melty cheese and delicious sauce - it was like the vegan version of all the best non-vegan pizzas I've had rolled into one!! I wanted to try one of the dessert options but we were far too full by then. Also there are some great sounding pasta options

Pros: Unique atmosphere, delicious food

Best vegan pizza in Bristol

Ordered a takeaway pizza, cannelloni and chocolate cake last Saturday for delivery to a hotel. Had to wait almost an hour but was worth it. Ordered online and paid cash as website wouldn't take my card because different billing address. I've had the pizza from there many times, before it moved, and it's still just as good! Authentic Italian. The cannelloni was good also but very heavy on the mock meats. The vegan chocolate cake was really good too!

Pros: Loads of options for veggies and mock meats, Local delivery

Cons: Sells meat

Yummy pizza and pasta dishes

This place is great I love having a pizza delivery from them as an occasional treat.

The chocolate cake is scrummy too although I find the garlic bread disappointing as it's more of a flat bread than I had envisaged.

Pros: Yummy, Good selection, Fast delivery

Cons: The garlic bread

Attention all Italian food-loving vegans!

Pepe Nero is a great find - I passed it so many times before I realised that they do vegan food. Was a dream come true when my boyfriend and I needed a thoroughly decent bit of grub after a long busy day in Bristol, and we tried this place on a whim.
The vegan options are clearly marked out and separated making it easy to find what you want. A great selection of vegan pizzas are on offer as well as pasta dishes such as vegan cannelloni and lasagne (which is yummy, big time). Plus the staff are really friendly.
However I have known them to be a bit inconsistent with portion sizes (especially with the pasta dishes - my boyfriend had a bad experience on one occasion when he ordered a lasagne and what he got was puny compared to mine, so to try and avoid being disappointed again I made a mental note to ask the waiter to clarify the portion size when ordering next time).
That being said, if you're in the area then it is definitely worth a visit because it's an opportunity to have something that wouldn't normally be available to vegans - how many restaurants do we know of that serve vegan cheese? Not many (meaning none) where I come from!

Pros: Big choice, Friendly staff, Tasty tasty food

Cons: Somewhat inconsistent, Glasses sometimes a bit grubby

Some of the best pizza I've ever had

We were staying in Bristol for a few days, and am so glad we found Pepe Nero! Some of the best pizza I've ever had. We were staying across the road at Future Inns so enjoyed our pizza in bed, but would love to eat in if we're back in Bristol. Make sure you visit this place!

Pros: Amazing pizza, Huge amount of vegan options, Authentic bases

Cons:

Absolutely delicious!

I have been going to this restaurant for a few months now and the vegan menu is excellent, clearly labelled and separated. There are nice vegan options for Pizzas and the soups appear vegan as well, I have tried tomato and basil soup which is very tasty and the garlic bread is out of this world! made fresh. The pizzas are a decent size and delicious. The vegan chocolate cake is yummy when its available. The staff are friendly.

Pros: friendly staff, yummy food, take away option

Cons: stairs to climb to seating, freshly cooked so be prepared to wait
