Place is very small but good location, easy to find. We took vegan kebabs, but it was without taste.

Vegan fast food in the center - Edit
If you happen to be in the center of Lecce and want a quick bite, this is the perfect option. They have a vegan piadina and a vegan kebab. During my stay there I managed to try both. The piadina is a typical Italian wrap and in this case it comes with seitan. To that you can add the ingredients you want, you can choose from plenty of cooked vegetable and sauces. I had it with ratatouille and an avocado sauce. If you add ingredients it's more expensive (50 cents per each ingredient) but still pretty cheap. The piadina was great. I also tried the vegan kebab, it comes with seitan, potatoes, mushrooms, onions and salad. It's also kind of tasty but it lacks a sauce so it ends up to be a bit dry. If you have it, ask for a sauce. All in all a great vegan option and pretty cheap as well.

Vegan Pita was good - Edit
Not sure if there are any vegan options beyond the "kebab" (which is more of a grilled pita really), but its quite tasty and filled with seitan, potatoes and otyer veggies. Good to grab on the go if you're wandering around Lecce.

great vegan kebab - Edit
Piadina Salentina is located in the city centre and it is very easy to find. You can either try the vegan kebab or have a piadina with seitan and choose the other fillings. Unfortunately, when I got there the place was very busy and I didn't have much time to decide what to have and to ask for the vegan fillings available on that day and therefore I went for the vegan kebab, which was very good. It is a take-away and there is only a bench outside the shop if you went to sit down.

Vegan Kabob - Edit
How wonderful to see the word vegan. It's not a word I see on most menus throughout Italy. And what a treat to eat something other than pasta and salad. I thought the vegan kabob was quite delicious. I added avocado sauce as the girl working there recommend it. Give it a try.

first homemade vegan kebap in Italy - Edit
We came to Lecce last year in October and found Piadina Salentina by coincidence visiting the ancient roman theatre. We got really surprised to know they offer a vegan kebab here, so we talked to the very friendly guy at the desk and he told us, how he produces the kebab by an own homemade receipe made of organic seitan and organic soy-sauce. We ordered two of them with avocada-creme and it was delicious! They also serve a local brewn organic beer and you can sit outside enjoying the view to the main square. If you are in the region don't miss it and support the owner who dreams of opening a 100% vegetarian restaurant one day, which would be the first in Puglia by the way...
